Mole_Toonfan
4mil is fine. Young and English and looks to be a good prospect. If we get him in i CAN see us going for a striker like. I reckon the claim we are not going out for one could just be smoke and mirrors. Match West Hams bid for Jordan Rhodes. Two young english lads as back up. If we are going to buy a striker i think i want someone who compliments Ba perfectly and i dont want it rushed just because we are a bit low on numbers...... Leave that to the summer if you cant find the perfect man for the job.
Yorkie
7 goals in 18 appearances this season, all from midfield. Sounds like a promising player at 24.
taxfree
New quotes, but nothing new as such, I guess. Anyway - Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa: "I am flattered by the interest from the French champions, but there is no agreement between the clubs, so I am still here with Montpellier," he told Sky Sports. "Newcastle are interested? Well it means my performances have crossed the country. "My dream league has always been the Premier League, so you never know. "But for me if Montpellier have to agree a fee with a team, then who knows? But I would love to play one day in England."
AlanSkÃrare
Would love M'Biwa, he would excite me much more than Tomkins. Can be used at right-back as well which is ideal.

gbandit
would love to be a blackburn fan reading that. Their main attacking threat potentially gone

toptoon
-----------------Ba Jonas--------Ben Arfa--------Hoilett ---Tiote-------------Cabaye Prefer this tbh. Me too looks an awesome line up and just what we need. Massively creative, a goal threat and quick (and can pick a pass unlike Obertan). But he's not in the bargain basement section in my opinion. Even though he's right at the end of his contract there will be a few decent offers coming in for a player of his quality. Love to be proved wrong but just can't see us shelling out the necessary money for him. Blackburn would have to replace him you would think to which isn't going to be easy. No point letting him go on the cheap and not replacing him as relegation would be a near certainty then.

Ikon
Dont understand, should be a MUST imo, Ashley is a business man and Hoilett for something like 8-9m would be a bullet proof investment without a shadow of doubt, if he had a long contract he would probably cost at least 15m right now, and that could and probably will rise with time. If we did sign him it probably wouldn't take long before he's being linked around for something like 20 in the future. And i do think we could attract him. No brainer for me, and should be for FMA as well.

But other teams wont wait that long, he will be in demand for sure.
Ikon
BA HBA Hoilett guthrie tiote cabaye This one i would love as well, could be immense. Ba can do absolutely everything as a central striker, HBA and Hoilett in these positions with some freedom backed up by this midfield three. Adding just ONE player and we could have this lineup. Wont happen though :( Forgot about Santon and another fullback bombing forward to add some more options and width, And Colos forward runs from defense

Mole_Toonfan
Good point, from what i have seen i cant think why that would be the case but obviously the management will monitor potential targets alot close than i would.
Ikon
Read somewhere that Pardew's transfer kitty is around 8m, just a guess probably, not that it's Pardew who's doing the deals anyway when it comes to money. How much do you reckon is budgeted for januari? 0 ?
