Or maybe it was just a monumental cock-up, naitivity & lack of experience in football two years ago and they've learned from it.

There were definitely no wise men.

Bumped into him at Newcastle airport a few years ago.  We had a stare-off, and he was doing exactly that face.  Well, perhaps a little more vicious.  I won. :)

Pardon my ignorance, if we sign HBA on loan - can we still sign Boyata & Keane?

Oh and does Boyata speak french? (not that anyone will know this, but could help with HBA)

He will do as will Tiote

Meanwhile, Hughton, who denied having an interest in Portsmouth's John Utaka, was coy when asked about reports linking him with a loan move for Tottenham striker Robbie Keane.

He said: "That's very much speculation at this moment in time."

Chris playing transfer poker.

Aye, i got that impression. He had a massive fucking grin on his face and claimed it was just speculation.

Will all be dependent on who Spurs can bring in to replace him.

Really don't like Robbie Keane like. Such a moaning twat.

Was there not some rumour floating around that they were waiting to qualify in Europe before making a bid for Fabiano or someone similar?

I'd take Keane, will work well with Carroll.

I would be well happy with that, another experienced prem player.  Not many promoted sides can call on the experience we have in the side.

Waow, well we know by now that this means that we are 100% in for Keane and there must be a chance. Good fucking times!

Of course there's a chance. Hughton knows him from his Spurs times (which has helped before with Sol and Routledge). The fact Keane is Irish would have been a little help as well, I think.
