The Prophet
Gareth Barry is not a defensive midfielder. He is.............just a rubbish one. Ozil made him look like a complete mug.
Robster
Barry should have fucking supermanned the cunt there. Useless twat. Was that for the 4th goal. Disgraceful if it was... wanker just gave up.
Guest elbee909
Gareth Barry is not a defensive midfielder. He is.............just a rubbish one. And remarkably slow. And poor at holding his position. Now Demichelis, he's been good at this role.
Mike
Watching this game again it's quite clearly the best game of the World Cup so far. More highlights than a ton of other matches put together. What a pisser. It was a great game.

Just bring him down man. You can bet your bottom dollar a German player would have done so in the same situation.

ElDiablo
Barry is so pedestrian it actually caused me physical pain watching him today.
Geordie Boot Boy
And Gerrard as good as said his head (and presumably others' heads) dropped after the third went in, so it really was hugely important not to let the lad continue the move.

David28
Watching the highlights, I don't understand why no one was running to the line on some of those German goals. Defending on all those goals was pretty awfull imo.

Ketsbaia
When the commentators said not many of the German players would get into England's team I was shocked. Off the top of my head I'd take Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Klose, Mertesacker and Ozil. Maybe some others too. They definitely have better strength in depth than England. Is it so hard to say this? Wish Capello, Terry and Gerrard went down similar lines, rather than the old and typical 'we played well' 'OMG! Disallowed goal!!!' etc

Neil
In summary, Germany played well but were made to look very, very good by a hapless central defence, shielded by nothing but thin air.

Super Duper Branko Strupar
very clever Well done to everyone who has the stomach to be in here and talk about that dross earlier today. I think I may just wash my hands of it. Hopefully there will be a big clear out, but then you think about who could replace them...and the list is small. Tsunami
Not read the rest of this thread; we were shit & if we had equalised I fancied us to win. I honestly believe that. That said, we looked tired, unhappy, ponderous, without team spirit, a lack of leadership & generally apathetic to everything that was happening around us. That can only be the fault of the manager & when you look at his team selection, tactics & obvious unwillingness to change things around then I can fully understand the performance we put in. Unacceptable maybe but I can understand it.
