I cannot stand Redknapp - he's an utterly detestable character, but some of these Spurs fans make me laugh. Funny that criticism of melted face only comes out now they're struggling. At the start of the year they were supposedly 'title contenders' ffs.

As much as it pains me to say it, Redknapp's done a good job there. What makes some of these Spurs fans think they'll have it better under someone else I don't know. Still, will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

think about it.

Wormy might be alluding to the fact that posters on here weren't happy with Pardew even when we were winning (includes me at times).

Course, but what I suppose I'm trying to say is that given he's consolidated Spurs as one of the top 5 clubs in the PL, and not 4 months ago he was supposedly a title contender, why there's such a push to get rid. He's overachieved at Spurs; their sense of entitlement to more than they're getting is strange.

I do accept though, that this is the mentality of the modern supporter (myself included). I'm sure I'd be somewhat irked if we'd won once in ten games...

I think I've just nullified my own point there.......

While you're here Martin Jol, I have a Spurs-related Fantasy League question......does Gallas or King start with Kaboul?

Interesting comments btw.

Don't put Spurs players in your fantasy team.

I wonder if the same was said about us when we were getting rid of managers despite finishing in the top 4/5/6.

Wasn't personally aiming for a Pardew comparison. Just a general comment. I don't know if Spurs forums were filled with the same scrutiny of Redknapp even when they were winning a la this place when Pardew's first port of call was hoofball. But as far as every one was concerned, before this run of form, everything was rosy and Redknapp was the sexiest face-to-his-knees geriatric out there. Now, he hasn't got a plan B while they're in a rut, and his managerial failings are only just coming to the fore.

Exactly what I was trying (and failing) to say.

With all the latest news/rumours about injuries and dissatisfied players, it really looks like Spurs' season can only go one way: downhill. Harry's really feeling the pressure now, I mean he's made quite a lot of weird comments he's made to the media recently. So, is he losing it? I hope so.

The saggy-faced twat is at it again, talking about other clubs' players:

Harry Redknapp has revealed Tottenham failed with a bid for Carlos Tevez in the January transfer window.

Argentina international Tevez was surplus to requirements at City in January, having gone AWOL following a bust-up with club officials earlier in the season.

City attempted to offload Tevez in January, but Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan failed to come up with suitable offers. It would appear Spurs were also in the hunt, but Redknapp has revealed his "dream" failed to turn into reality.

Speaking to the Sun, Redknapp said: "I said to the chairman Daniel Levy 'Can you get me Tevez?' That was my dream and so in January that's what I asked. It wasn't possible but that was my dream.

"The chairman would have loved Tevez but it wasn't do-able because his wages are whatever they are, £200,000-a-week. Daniel made some enquiries about Tevez and if he could have done it, the chairman would have.

"It was me thinking 'Tevez ... he's not in the team, he's fallen out with Roberto Mancini'. You don't know unless you ask. It was just a little try."
