wormy
I'm sure the 5 yellows = 1 game ban has ended for this season This is the last game where it is in effect. So, if Tiote got a 5th yellow tonight, would it effectively be redundant, or would he get the one match suspension?
Dave
The latter.
Skirge
Its simple... IF he gets booked tonight he misses the Man Ure match, if he does not get booked tonight he go's into the Man Ure game with a clean slate.

Colos Short and Curlies
So what happens in the games played on the 1st? Seems a bit of an unfair advantage if the cut off is the 31st Dec
Dr Venkman
on the bright side at least Suarez not playing reduces the chances of yellow cards for Tiote and Colo a bit, i expect Adam to be working over time trying to cover for the reduction in diving though
Geordie Ahmed
So what happens in the games played on the 1st? Seems a bit of an unfair advantage if the cut off is the 31st Dec They get a clean slate, just unlucky for us we are playing on the 31st. A fairer way would be for it to apply for the match today and tomorrows games
Wullie
Imagine if we have to play Man Utd without Coloccini and Tiote. Frigging hell.
Guest Geordiesned
I don't think players get a clean slate. It's just that they have to reach 10 yellow cards to get a ban after 1st Jan.

You are right Hopefully Tiote and Colo can get through today Last season Tiote had 14 yellows and 1 red in 28 games, this season he has 4 yellows in 12 games so there has been a slight improvement on that front

Tiresias
Thought he did alright, apart from conceding that free kick
Ronaldo
He was typical Tiote, won the ball a fair few times but played us into trouble with it. I thought he did OK overall. He's not the player some make out, though.

ponsaelius
Honestly don't know how he's taking the brunt of criticism. I thought he played OK.
Ketsbaia
He had his good moments but was generally poor again. So frustrating.
HawK
Gave the ball away a lot today, played the ball to people who were already under pressure and were just passing it straight back when he did find the pass. Needs to stop trying to be clever and just lay it off to Colo or Cabaye.
ChrisMcQuillan
Thought he was awful today. Ironically, the FK that shouldn't have been was one of his best tackles.
Yorkie
Arguably our best player tonight. Thought he was decent. His mentality was refreshing, too, because he was the only one who attempted to do something with the ball. Would have been annihilated without him tbh. Frazzle
Tiote was bringing the ball out of defence and Jonas, Obertan and Cabaye (to a much lesser extent) we're either motionless or couldn't control the ball. He put himself on the firing line by constantly showing for the ball. He wasn't the problem today even if he was involved in their goals. Need to look at the bigger picture. Fenham Mag
He put Simpson in trouble with an awful backpass which made Simpson clear it which then lead to Gerrards goal. Also , he hasnt learnt his lesson on the subject of dribbling out of defence, 50% of the time, he loses the ball.
