Unless the balloon's tied to the wheelchair and you could just untie it and nick it without being seen.
Rocker
Have a feeling i'm going to adore Ba. I really get this feeling too, but im just trying to contain it for now, it's never good to get too excited when it comes to nufc, there's always a big fuking let down waiting round the corner with a cricket bat. SUPERTOON
MsiDouglas Mark Douglas Just compiled a stats box to go with the Ba interview in Sunday Sun. A goal every other game in his career is a hell of a ratio.
Rich
Feud? Nah, I fish for bigger game. Starting a feud with Ethi would be tantamount to stealing a balloon from a chap in a wheelchair. I can attest to this. Ethi is gash. Can never tell when you're being honest or talking shite, but Ba does appear to have everything necessary to be a big success here. LoveItIfWeBeatU
http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/06/19/new-season-will-be-knee-bother-says-ba-79310-28901520/ New season will be knee bother says Ba Jun 19 2011 by Mark Douglas, Sunday Sun DEMBA BA says his left knee will have no problems withstanding another season of non-stop Premier League action, writes MARK DOUGLAS. Standing at 6ft 3ins with shoulders as broad as the River Tyne, you would have to be a brave man to accuse Ba of being fragile. However, that was the charge laid at the Senegal striker’s door as delays beset his protracted move to Newcastle. We all know about it now, the chronic left knee complaint which halted a switch to Stoke City in January. The result of a botched operation after a broken leg, it is believed the problem stems from a nail inserted in his tibia that touched a sensitive part of the knee when it was removed. Subsequent surgery cleaned up the joint, but it has been enough to prompt most clubs to treat him with caution. Newcastle are no different – drawing up a pay-as-you-play deal worth something like £60,000-a-week, provided he makes it on to the pitch. Even though he does not look like the sort of person to mess with, the question had to be asked at Friday’s unveiling at St James’ Park. In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Sun, Ba impressively batted that charge straight back. He said: “You saw me play last season – everyone saw me play all those games. That is the only proof I need to provide. “It does not annoy me to see people talk about my knee. I understand, it is normal for people to discuss it. “If I was the doctor of a club signing me I would be in the same situation. “I would want to know about my knee too. I can understand people thinking about it, but I have proved I can play games in the Premier League. “I did not miss games because of my knee. “People can concern them but Newcastle have faith. I will just keep doing my job.” To launch his Newcastle career, Ba has taken the No19 shirt at United – snatching it from £5.7million Spanish flop Xisco. He says assuming the hallowed No 9 shirt – vacated by Andy Carroll back in January – was never mentioned to him. Even if it was, he would have stuck with his “lucky number” as he looks to stand on the shoulders of giants at St James’ Park. Ba added: “It was not really mentioned to me. “There was no big reason, really. I like No 19, so I took No 19. “I know all about the attacking tradition at Newcastle. “I know they love their strikers and if they score goals they are heroes to the people. “I am going to do my bit and I hope it is enough.” Knees and numbers aside, Ba has been brought to Newcastle to provide the one thing which looks to be lacking in a squad pared of Carroll and now Kevin Nolan – goals. You cannot argue with a goals-per-game as good as ANYONE in European football. Seven in 12 games for a paltry West Ham side was eye-catching, but it was only a continuation of his form in Germany, Belgium and France. Ba says: “I like scoring goals and I want to continue that at Newcastle. Scoring is the most important thing. I am happy to be here and I cannot wait to play at St James’ Park.”
