durhamunigeordie
I heard Norwich fans singing 'Coloccni, he wants to go home'. Standard patter, ripped off from the Carlos Tevez song.
Carlito
 "Snake Pit". How desperate is that
ponsaelius
Load of shite. Those chants were from the Norwich end. Nothing but support for Colo from the away end.

Chrisjraby
I think they might have made a bit of a fuck up there . Basically, in the Lower Barclay Stand at Norwich there's an area called the "Snake Pit" which is apparently for the rowdier fans (it's bollocks to be honest); I think the Argie journos need to do a bit more research! If that's all the article has to go on, I wouldn't worry to be honest!
Superior Acuña
Looks like the Argie press are trying to s*** stir, saying that Newcastle fans were ridiculing him. http://es-us.deportes.yahoo.com/noticias/deseo-coloccini-irse-hinchas-newcastle-burlaron-ridiculizaron-150700514--sow.html "Newcastle fans devoted some songs and rediculed. "He wants to go home, he misses his mum", sang the Newcastle fans at Norwich. It appears, the group of supporters known as "The Snake Pit" have not taken well to the news their captain wants to return home, and have let him know". a) I can't say I heard that chant. b) Who the hell are the "Snake Pit"? I never heard that from the snake pit either Tried to polish off my Spanish to tell them. We need him - when I was in Buenos Aires talking about him and Jonas was the only way to keep them off the 'Malvinas'.

jdckelly
Tim Vickery on the world football phone in (if you don't listen already you should) mentioned this thing obviously and that the Argie press had nowt on the wife bit but that this is a kinda last ditch effort from Colo to get the move since the San Lorenzo board thought it would be easy to just get Ashley to let him go for free and ran into a brick wall when they actually talked to NUFC. Quite how they thought it would be easy is difficult to understand
themanupstairs
The depressing thing is that there still may be something sinister about him wanting to leave. Can't wait for this to be resolved one way or another so we can move on and concentrate on the football.

Guest malandro
Thing is he didn't look like a player who wants out the way he played yesterday. Nope, but there seems little doubt he has asked to leave. Some kind of clarification from the player / club would be good.

Quite funny reading that argie report and knowing that some of their fans must be taking it as what's really happening. Also it's nice to see how the report commentated on his excellent performance
