Davide Santon (now retired)

Recommended Posts

Apparently................and this is from a direct source, Santon feel down the aeroplane steps when he arrived at Newcastle. He only told the club when he then pulled up ten minutes into his first training session. Not sure if this is known locally or not but I certainly hadn't heard it unless I was told.

Hmmm :undecided:

But your ITK is always highly reliable. It's just that this one is a bit ridiculous/funny like

Someday GolfMag will come on here and tell us that Mark Zuckerberg is set to takeover the club and bankroll it with signings of Neymar and Messi. Until then we'll just have to accept news about backroom deals with casino buddies and new signings tumbling down steps.

How can you say that heza09?

He's been pretty poor positioning and defending wise and he seems to be playing as a LM or even LW at times, although his starting position is as LB. I thought we were buying a quality defender, but it's been proven wrong time after time. He needs to work on his work-rate and also basic defending imo. If HBA would be in front of him, that would be a bigass leak in the defence.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is hopeful defender Davide Santon will be available for Friday's trip to Liverpool.

The full-back missed the win over Bolton after he was forced from the pitch in the previous game against West Brom with a swollen knee.

There were fears the injury might be serious as he was afflicted with knee injuries during his time at Inter Milan, and had fluid drained from his knee when he arrived at St James' Park.

However, scans have revealed there is no serious damage to the Italy international, much to the delight of Pardew.

"Santon's knee wasn't as bad we as thought," Pardew told the Gazette. "I left him out (against Bolton), but I think he'll be back for Liverpool."
