Beren
Especially gutted Santon is out, as my biggest pet peeve in that game was Raylor's checking back in to cross. The centrebacks were then well on top. The amount of times Jonas and Cabaye manufactured acres of room for him on the left only for him to take the sting out of the attack was infuriating. Ah well. Dell Boi
Aye that Le Tissier clip was disgraceful like, pretty much said we just about scraped the draw and all the clear cut chances went to Villa.
Dave
For the record: http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/9814/captureofk.png And that's without any context at all.

Guest sydneycove
A blind Mackem could admit we were better than Villa today....... well under certain conditions like not being an RTG member they could.
Ronaldo
What did he say? That the game was even, they had as much possession and efforts chances as us (despite the stats suggesting otherwise on all counts) and that just as much if not more of the game was played in our half as theirs. Just plain wrong. What a tosspiece.
Guest Dontooner
Krul...6.5 Nothing much to do really Simpson...7.5 A game where there is little to criticize believe it or not. S.Taylor...6.5 Nearly messed up again...hope he get rids of his clumsy errors Coloccini..7.5 Did well for the game, could have done better for the goal. R.Taylor...6.5 Need a real left back in there, but his doing fine being out of position. Jonas...7 Defended well and got on with inter link plays in the midfield like what i always imagine him to do. Cabaye...9 Wonder how we got this player in......he definitely can play in the top 6 teams in most leagues....just didnt score today Tiote...7.8 Control the game for us, as Villa had no shield against our spear. Obertan...7.5 Underrated by many posters....he had a good game, like jonas he is never producing much but his positioning and safe game play, made us control possession. The villa players had to defend deeper due to him sticking to the flank. Best game for us, improving every game. Ba...6.5 Better but not imposing himself in the box and trying to get himself free but will probably thrive when we can play like the last 10 minutes in this game. Best...7.5 Seems to be able to score but needs to be the second striker not the main. Needs to play off the main threat of a better striker. Sammy ..5 not much time to do much Marvx .....9 As i said b4 i think he is the link between attack and midfield rather than Ben and cabaye ... He has the qualities to make things simple and fill in the blanks when the midfield gets too crowded to play. He is canny at starting a counter attack as well, since he is quick and able to make a timely pass. Shola....0 Why we signed him for another two years really bemuses me....(unless sammy is included in the deal) Pardew.....5 This game was there for the taking, just didnt have the intelligence or balls to set the team to be more adventurous. Since we controlled the game he should have put the flair players on sooner rather than later. Shay .....-10 Never expected any less from him, top keeper, kept them in the game like he kept us in many before he left. Need a bloody Striker that is quick and fast and that could dribble a few players, would change our game to be even more threatening. (Bellamy type)
TRon
He's been anti-Newcastle for years, pretty sure he has said before a few years ago on that show that he doesn't like Newcastle I don't know why he keeps getting to cover our matches then. He's been sniping at us for years. He makes Paul Merson look like a closet toon fan.

Zero
A lot of positives from today. Disappointed for losing 2 points but if we can keep it up, our unbeaten run can extends a lot more.
QBG
Krul 6 - Could have done a little better for the goal, didn't have much to do for the rest of the game. Simpson 6 - Solid Coloccini 7 - Very good aside from his cock up for their goal. S.Taylor 8 - One error that he atoned for, besides that another great performance. R.Taylor 6 - Decent against a pacy attack. Obertan 5.5 - Attacked them well down the flanks. Tiote 7 - Much improved on recent performances Cabaye 9 - A magnificent player, assured and elegant on the ball. Deserved a goal. Jonas 5 - Same every week, full of running but nee fucking end product man. Ba 7 - Looking better with each game, linked up well with the midfield. Best 7 - Continually silences the doubters, another well taken goal. Shola 4 - Did nothing as usual. Marveaux 6 - That pass to Cabaye, beautiful. Needs a full game to show what he can do. Sammy 5 - Only a short outing but still offered a more of a threat than his brother.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
would've settled for a point at 2.55. Unhappy we didn't have all 3. Fickle football fan, I am.
Ishmael
For people who are saying that Ameobi did nothing he actually retained the ball well on his own against 2 defenders. Didn't miss many passes and got us some good field position when involved.

cubaricho
A point away to Aston Villa. Dominated the match. Tiote looks to be getting back on form. Cabaye looks so classy. Ba is looking good. Best is making his case. All in all I think it was a good Saturday with a lot of positives.
Scoreboard82
Wasn't too confident today after Mondays performance. Happy with a point, which could easily have turned into 3. I see we had the SAS on towards the end. Sammy and Shola.
