Stoke City vs Newcastle United pre-match thread (31/10/11 @ 8pm) - Live on Sky

Aye a spawny 1-0 win would be a thing of beauty. Long ball from Colo, headed out to Jonas who drives in a shit cross only for it to deflect to Cabaye, who turns it in a yard out from an offside position while Ba stands on the keepers toes. Lovely stuff.

Aye! Then we spend the next 89 minutes holding it up by the corner flag.

Really can't be arsed to watch this one tbh. We'll get bullied and outplayed as usual against them and it wont be pretty. They've only lost one of their last 20 home games or something stupid.

Jesus, what a horrible attitude.

9 games without a defeat so far, great team spirit and actually playing some good stuff at times.

But no, "Fuck it, CBA we're clearly gonna lose."

Agree it'll be tough, but come on man.

If Obertan starts this one I'll start to think he was promised first team football to come here, Marveaux deserves a go with Obertan playing so poorly recently.

Ben Arfa will start if Best is out then I'd guess, hopefully there'll be an improvement on the Blackburn game.

Confident we'll give it a good go, gonna be tough but I think we'll hold our own if Taylor and Tiote are good to go.

If Tiote is a real doubt better not to risk him and risk aggravating an injury. Get him sorted for the Everton match as that'll be a tough but very winnable match. I'd say Taylor's inclusion at the back is more important in this game to deal with the aerial threat but then you could argue that both players are so crucial that they're of equal importance. The difference is Guthrie can come in and do an ok job whereas who the hell would replace Taylor if he missed the match?

Enough with this talk how Stoke are going to hurt us. The question is how are we going to hurt them?

HBA won´t cope with Stoke´s style of play, but Stoke won´t cope with HBA´s style of play.

Stay positive.

The answer: Perch. James Perch.
