one of his son's is called Ed, I know that much.

Used to have a ST in the Milburn Paddock and stood over/next to the tunnel before the game hunting autographs when I was 13/14.  Anyway, Ed was mascot that day and was pitchside during the warm up.  He took it upon himself to go and join in, only for Speedo to call his name, run across and bring him back to the dugout.

Guest Roy the Irish Magpie

a humble reminder today that football, as seriously as i take it and as passionate as i am for newcastle, it's just a sport and there are far more important things in life.

R.i.p Speedy.

I'm having to avoid twitter. The amount of s**** being spread about him is truly horrific.

Thankfully I've not seen any of that. Everything I've seen about him has been positive. As it should be.

The jokes are disgusting. I'd recommend blocking that sickipedia bot if anyone follows it.

Speedo, may you truly rest in the peace you somehow couldn't find while you were with us.  you became my favorite toon player when i first started supporting the club & it was with great joy i watched you rise to meet that cross and send it into the net with such power.  i hope you'll tell Sir Bobby I say hello.
