I thought I must be losing my mind that they didn’t go into mad detail for the foul on Longstaff. Looked nailed on.

Well, you see, he didn't flick his pinky toe in to the goalkeeper's chest as he went flying. Now that's cOnTeNtIoUs.

I didn’t think it was a foul on Awoniyi ?. The ball bounces off his knee, Schar flicks the ball, Dubs’ second movement is clearly to try to stretch beyond him to get to the ball. Awoniyi runs into Dubs.

To me it’s a collision where there is no foul. I might be in the minority here and if a pen had been given it wouldn’t have been overturned but, I just think the striker made a bit of a mess of it all.

I didn't think it was a penalty either but 4/4 mates in a Whatsapp group said it should have been a pen with current rules. They are Man United/Liverpool fans though. :anguish: VAR would've never taken it away if it was originally given.

Francis should be off. Few others should be booked. Unbelievable that VAR didn’t look at the one on Bruno. The last one on Miggy was a yellow too. Officials should have to sit down after the match and watch replays on a huge screen and comment on their performance and what they were thinking.

Poor display from the ref yesterday. Gave Bournemouth the green light to stop us by repeated fouling that went unpunished beyond  free kicks.

It's the most frustrating thing in football for me at the minute, referees know why teams are doing it but refuse to yellow card for obvious deliberate fouling.

Also the way Gordon is being targeted with no protection from refs is getting hard to take. See the way he's upended early then a different player does it next time, then someone else. So obvious and nothing is done.

Some sanction needs to be done for repeated team fouling.

Thought he was good for a bit, I prefer refs that let things go, and the decisions have been fine, but they should have like 4 yellow cards.

In terms of the fouls I thought he mostly called them right, for both sides

The criminal part was the lack of yellow cards, all that did was give them a licence to kick us more and more

Christie should have been on a yellow already before he raked the back of Bruno's leg, he makes that challenge he wasn't booked already

Same for Senesi, clear yellow card on Miggy not given, which then allows him to bring down Barnes in the second half

That made it a shocking performance from the referee, allowed some players an extra kick/foul
