Zero
The only valid reason for dropping him is to reserve energy for more important matches.
SUPERTOON
The best player i have ever seen play for us. Love watching him play, and every time i can't believe he actually plays for us. Our team and formation should be all about getting the best out of him.
Jordan
The best player i have ever seen play for us. Love watching him play, and every time i can't believe he actually plays for us. Our team and formation should be all about getting the best out of him. Never saw Beardsley play so HBA is easily the best player i've ever seen in black and white. Shearer was great but a totally different type of player, Hatem's more enjoyable to watch.

Mole_Toonfan
His attitude on the pitch has been totally spot on this season, long may it continue. Tbf his attitude in general has spot on since he joined, i don't know what they do in France but i see nothing which represents a trouble maker. Either Pards is a genius when it comes to man management or they are complete shat at it in France. Won't see a bad word said about him from our side. ChrisMcQuillan
Technically he has "only" got us 3 points so far this season. When that's 75% of your league points, that's pretty important.

Guest Spiria
Hatem Ben Arfa has been our top man so far - Pardew ALAN PARDEW has a simple message for the French Football Federation when it comes to Hatem Ben Arfa: “Your loss is our gain.” The talismanic former Marseille ace was hailed as player of the month by Pardew following his stunning strike against Aston Villa on Sunday. But having expressed an opinion in the France dressing room at Euro 2012, the playmaker has been overlooked by Les Bleus for the start of their World Cup campaign against Belarus and Finland. It is understood that Didier Deschamps – the coach who fell out with Ben Arfa to spark his move to Newcastle two years ago – has not excluded the 25-year-old entirely, but has warned that even the slightest issue will result in his permanent exclusion under his tenure. His situation at Newcastle could not be more contrasting, and Pardew told the Chronicle today: “Hatem is really on fire for us at the moment. “He was the highlight of the game against Aston Villa. He’s just a special talent, and he’s been our best player. “Fortunately for us he’s not with the French squad so we have him for another couple of weeks. We’ll wrap him in cotton wool and wait for Everton.” The next stop for Ben Arfa will be Goodison Park, which was the backdrop of his first goal for the Magpies back in 2010 when he lashed home a left-footed effort to secure a 1-0 win for Chris Hughton. Incredibly, Ben Arfa played just 45 minutes for United during pre-season when he starred against Hartlepool United at Victoria Park. And despite fears of his fitness, he has proved to be right on his game in the opening three Premier League games of the season – securing man-of-the-match performances in all three. Yet he has still been ignored by France. Pardew, though, is delighted with his progress this season. The LMA and Premier League manager of the year said: “He’s always been a massive talent in France. His technique sets him apart. “He’s got great power in both feet and defenders just don’t know which foot to show him on to. “He’s a fantastic player for us.” Ben Arfa’s goal was one of the strikes of the weekend and unsurprisingly the eighth goal of his Toon career has been replayed around the football world. Pardew again paid tribute to the strike, and said: “He scored an absolute peach of a goal. “It was probably the only way we were going to beat Brad Guzan – he came in and was a little inspired. “You could tell. Some people would have crumbled under the pressure of replacing Shay. “But he grabbed it by the horns, and looked comfortable – it was going to take a wonder goal to beat him.” When asked if he was surprised his form was so good after such a small contribution to pre-season, Pardew said: “Well, that’s how it goes – you’ve got to pay credit to the player. PCW1983
Love watching him play. When he first joined us i found him frustrating because he always seemed to be trying to do too much, I do think that Pardew and the coaching team deserve a lot of credit for the way he plays now. Not for the skill and technique because that was always there but for the hard working attitude and discipline that he shows during matches now. gbandit
Tearing shit up like no one else in the league, is Ben Arfa. Hazard is controlling the way Chelsea play and linking them up but no one is so directly affecting their team's fortunes as much as Hatem.
