Dave
Wonder if Santon will start? Should do, but then Taylor got another assist...
Frazzle
Taylor being hooked at half time is telling. Santon will start IMO.
JH
Will probably start in the hole, just behind Ba. Anything but having to put that horrible Hatem Ben Arfa in there. Everything that is wrong with football that lad.
Yorkie
----------------------------------------- Krul ----------------------------------------- Simpson ------------- Williamson ------------- Coloccini -------------- Santon ---------------------------------------- Tiote ----------------------------------------- ------------------------- Cabaye ---------------- Vuckic --------------------------- Ben Arfa --------------------------------------------------------------------- Jonas ----------------------------------------- Ba ------------------------------------------- Not a cat in hell's chance of it being anything like that, obviously, but that's what i'd be looking to go with. I would have Simpson lynched from the team if it wasn't for the threat of Valencia, who will just annihilate Raylor. Neither of the full-backs that started tonight deserve to be in the side though, so it's an awkward one. Santon must start though, obviously.
Tiresias
Our wide players are poor so... Krul Simson Willia Colo Santon Cabaye Tiote Vuckic HBA Best Ba
Ketsbaia
Comfortable 0-2 defeat. He'll persist with Obertan, he'll only bring in Santon if Raylor gets sledgehammered and Ben Arfa will get 10 minutes at the end. Same old, same old.
Robster
We need plenty of chants of "Attack...... Attack....... Attack, Attack, Attack".

Spider Jerusalem
A total bum-raping - Ferguson will have them watching that 'penalty' incident on repeat every moment until kick-off.
ShearMagic
We'll lose, but don't get too disheartened. If we win the games we should win (i.e the ones we did at the start of the season), we'll still come 7th.
Dave
There's absolutely no way Obertan won't start this. Pardew will hope for a 'show' against his former team - expect Chronicle articles on it.

ShearMagic
oh and the 5 yellow card suspension has ended as of 31st December, so Tiote can go back to playing normally. Think he was a lot more cautious than usual today.

Neil
2-1 to Newcastle. Rooney to score in the 8th minute, and Man Utd decide to get cocky. Suddenly, Gabriel Obertan defiantly gets himself sent off by headbutting Rooney; a move which takes Rooney out of the game. In a dramatic 2nd half, after Henning Berg has got sent off a late lunge on Les Ferdinand, Obertan picks up the ball (defying the ref's sending off), skins Evra, nutmegs Steve Irwin and picks out Demba Ba in the middle who fires past Van Der Gouw in sensational fashion. Then, after Beardsley has come inside, he picks out Sammy Ameobi only for Ameobi Jr to fall over....... but wait, there's Alan Smith, latching onto the inadvertent through ball and squaring to Peter Lovenkrands who tucks it away, for a famous, famous victory. 2-0 to Man Utd. Shayno
Krul Santon willo Colo cissokho Cabaye Tiote Vuckic Obertan. Hba Ba Look, it is only a matter of time after signing player after player that have grown up playing 4-3-3 that we will start playing it ourselves. I'll assume cissokho has been training with the squad
Doug
We have only got one defender who we can comfortably give the ball too. Nothing can be built from or supported from the back unless Colocinni does it. We need two full backs who can competently work the length of the pitch on either flank before we can begin to look a proper side. Young Ferguson needs to start if he is fit with Santon on the right. That would be a start if Ashley won't spend.
Ishmael
Wonder if Santon will start? Should do, but then Taylor got another assist... Santon immediately tidied up our left side and stopped Downing and Johnson having such an easy ride. It was great to see.
oldtype
Lineup will probably be: Krul Simpson Williamson Coloccini Santon Obertan Cabaye Tiote Guttierez Ba Not Ben Arfa Hopefully not a heavy defeat. something like that would (rightly or wrongly) start to put a lot of pressure on Pardew, which isn't going to help anything going into January.
