I know Ashley likes to sell players as close to the transfer deadline as possible so we cant find a replacement, but his new tactic of selling after the window is shut is a new low. Our current squad is paper thin as it is, so I wonder if Pardew will finally grow a pair and stand up to Ashley over this ?

no he won't.

We aren't going down, just play the lad for the rest of the season and hope he gets his groove back.

We literally have nothing to play for so may as well play him every game and also look to blood some youngsters / try a few things tactically and try and improve our attacking play.

Wow. Guess Gouffran is going more central.

If we get 10m for him we have done well.absolute joke our staff have ruined him though and can't get him back to form.

His attitude on the pitch has been disgraceful, imo. He's looked lazy and disinterested for quite some time.

Either start him every game to get him up to speed, or send him packing.

I don't think his attitude in the pitch has been that bad. There were games where he worked hard for the team without getting any service. The most worrying thing has been his first touch and control, not to mention panic in front of goal, which was terrible. He clearly had the confidence stripped right out of him rather than laziness. Not saying it's all our coaches fault but we have seen the same from Tiote, Cabaye and Ben arfa.

Feels like we are getting rid because our coaching staff aren't capable enough to get him back to where he has been the past years of his career. 10m is a good recoup though. Rather we played him tbh.

Cisse has been s*** this season and part of last but he is still better than Shola. Reeks of asset stripping as someone said above.

The lad has had ney service.  When he came we played in a way that suited him.  It's not coincidence since the style changed his goals dried up.

Surely not.

Even this set of parastitic muppetts wouldnt just leave us with just Shola..

They'll probably look at it that he's not getting on the pitch (much) anymore, and when he does he's barely contributing.

They can potentially get a multi-million pound fee for him, and save on his wages too. As an added bonus, we (hopefully) aren't gonna go down, and our window is shut.

any strikers available out of contract that doesn't contravene the transfer deadline rules, that could perhaps do a job on the cheap?

Markus Rosenberg ....ex Werder Bremen , Racing Santander and Ajax striker. Did well at those clubs but didn`t score at all for West Brom though  :aww:

Just released on a free according to BBC

£10m for this lazy uninterested joke is insane money, especially when you consider what we've just sold Cabaye for.

Gave up on him along time ago, but to be fair, he gave up on the club first.

Tbh though, there's not many outfield players I'd keep right now.
