matta
Getting in form slowly. But his offsides man. They are just weak.
Cajun
To be fair to him, and maybe a tad controversial, what the fuck was Ba doing squaring the ball? He had to have known Cisse was offside. Every fucker in the ground and thousands watching at home were screaming don't pass yet! Nah, Cisse had plenty of time to get back onside. Instead he just ran and ran always a yard ahead of the defender which he should have been able to see better than Ba would have.
Dr Colossus
Love him, even when he's out of form he's in the thick of it. This. Instead of hiding or letting his head get down he's trying left foot volleys from outside the box and backheels from tight angles.
taxfree
Both Cissé and Ba showed zero basic knowledge of football in that situaton. It really was disgustingly amateurish. Had me fuming that.
maybe_next_year
worked so hard tonight, looked so frustrated towards the end though, just hope he won't let it get to him.
TRC
Should change this thread title, something about offsides. I'm not a creative genius Cajun's job
Guest firetotheworks
I was desperate for him to score. His movement and anticipation is still excellent (being born offside aside)
TaylorJ_01
Thick as mince, which makes him who he is.
cubaricho
Thought he put in an excellent shift tonight. Gave absolutely everything to the cause - was everywhere. He's still out of form (his daft offsides an example of this), but tonight and Stoke were a hell of a lot more like it. He's looking a lot more assured with the ball at his feet. There was a bit midway through the second half where he and Simpson worked it out of a tricky situation near the byline (deep in our half) really well. A minute later Cisse was holding the ball up at the opposite corner flag. Deserved a goal tonight. Played well. The most accurate post about his involvement in the match tonight. Guest Poz
His workrate was still way below the workrate of Di Santo and his offsides were verging on the ridiculous so average best describes that performance... tbh would swap him for Michu in a flash ... he must have been to the 'Shola Ameobi School Of Offside Excellence'... Lenny
Eh, Cisse worked his arse off, particularly first half.

Guest Poz
Saying that he'd swap Cisse for Michu in a second. OK then make that 2 seconds ... Michu is premier league class and an all round player unlike a very poor Cisse ALL season not just last night
healthyaddiction
Would you be saying that after Cisse's first 15 games last season?
Guest firetotheworks
Michu has looked pretty good for what? 15 games? Cisse was unplayable for the same. There's every chance that the same will happen to Michu. FWIW, I don't think Cisse has played particularly badly, we've barely played to his strengths and it's made him look worse. ujpest doza
He made so many excellent runs last night only for our lot to dilly and dally meaning he ended up offisde. He was getting very frustrated towards the end as players weren't releasing the ball to him quick enough like Cabaye does. Saying that though, he does stray offside a lot as well without making a good run and should have held back when Ba injured himself trying to play him in. Interpolic
Cisse was top dollar last night in the first half, it should be clear to anyone with eyes. His all round game is actually better than I thought based on that. Wasn't as good 2nd half mind.
themanupstairs
Two good balls were played into him the way he likes it last night. One got us a penalty award, and the other he rushed his shot and it went over. He had to improvise for the other chances which isn't enough service catered to his style of play and movement. (the second one I'm on about was when Anita played it over the top to him having spotted his great run late in the second half).
Tisd09
I thought he did ok, a goal would have rounded it off easily. The two he blazed over with his left probably would have rattled home last season. I think we will see the magic again from him. Ba has got it back can't see why Cisse can't. And the Michu comment is daft. As quality as Michu has looked this season Swansea play a very different style to us. I wouldn't mind having Michu here like but to play with Ba and Cisse not as a replacement for either.
Lush Vlad
His workrate was still way below the workrate of Di Santo and his offsides were verging on the ridiculous so average best describes that performance... tbh would swap him for Michu in a flash ... he must have been to the 'Shola Ameobi School Of Offside Excellence'... Can't agree there mate. Cisse is a real predator and can score all types of goals. We just don't utilise him properly and that's been further magnified by a poor run of form. Michu doesn't always play up top for them anyway does he? Plays in behind that Schicter (sp) I thought? I think if Ba isn't going to be used wide left and we want to persist with the 4-2-3-1. It should be a straight shootout between Ba and Cisse for the lone strikers role. Bit hard to argue against Ba playing there ATM. Cisse's done ok out wide, but it feels a bit like square pegs/round holes.
Kanj
Not worried in the slightest about Pappiss. He's making the runs, he's getting into positions. He'll start scoring for fun when the sort of chances that are falling for Ba are falling for him. Will help when Ben Arfa gets back into the team and we hopefully keep Marv out there. Those runs & balls will be played in onside and he will start scoring and smiling all over again.
