Chris_R
I'll give you a hint: I'm not being entirely serious.
Cajun
He's not frustrating at all once you accept that he will be offside a couple of times a game. Fact is he scores goals as long as the service is there for him. I find him frustrating because one or two of those offside will so easily not be. I don't mind ones where he is just offside beating the last man but sometimes he has gone so early the teams haven't even come out yet.
Beren
Conversion rate isn't nearly good enough but we can't expect a Shearer/Ba every time. He's a good player and he never gives up We need more consistent service for him next season and better competition up front.

I think not), can see him notching a couple on Sunday too.

Yorkie
Typically put every cell of his body into the game tonight, and was really unlucky again. Playing on the shoulder of the last defender was where we needed him... he's bound to be offside now and again. He looks ten times the player he did 6 months ago. I absolutely love him - think he's class.
pi_D
Still gets daft criticism on here at times, though. Even tonight. Absolutely incredible.
Nobody
If he's not offside for that first goal, he doesn't get a foot on it. He simply doesn't have time to get back on, and as soon as the ball is played, he goes for it. Just like he should.

I'd definitely rather his first instinct when he's unsure be to just go for it rather than thinking "meh, I'm probably offside. Should just get back in line so the people on N-O won't hate me." Dave
When we have all our eggs in one Papiss-shaped basket he has to be a lot better than he was tonight unfortunately. Love him to bits but the offsides are becoming stupid at best and downright incompetent at worst.

He's very very good but the offside thing is such a basic weakness that holds him, and us, back quite a lot. Needs coaching about the offside rule by our plethora of attacking coaches. Love him to bits but the offsides are becoming stupid at best and downright incompetent at worst. Which of the offsides were stupid/downright incompetent tonight? The ones where he's looking right down the line of defenders and drifts beyond them anyway. Or when players are breaking with the ball and he's not an option due to being beyond the last defender. Staying onside is a skill, it's not good enough for him to just put the ball in no matter what and hope to drop lucky.
Smal
He's a striker who relies on instincts though. Once you start telling him not to go with those instincts you end up taking away what he's good at. I personally think his movement is brilliant. I disagree, anyway. If he isn't offside - then both of the strikes for each disallowed goals wouldn't have even happened. It's extremely frustrating on immediate reflection - cos it's a goal and then it's not and it's fucking torture - but I wouldn't change him. I don't begrudge him either of those incidents tonight. He plays on the last shoulder so he's liable to be offside anyway.

He plays on the last shoulder so he's viable to be offside anyway. I was talking more in general than just tonight fwiw. It happens pretty much every single game. Varadi
The margins between awesome Cisse and disappointing Cisse are so small - we're 2 post widths and a narrow offside away from a Europa semi. It'll all come together soon I reckon - hopefully Sunday...
