NG32
Look at the tits on that fella in the purple top and 80s jean, man. He has time traveled from the 80s to the future to see Sunderland as NETD.

TêteDeMaure
I went to Northumbria Uni (well, it was Newcastle Poly at the time). My best mate up there was a mackem, from Cleadon. We went over to his parents house a few times. Now, that's a particularly posh area, so I assumed most of Sunderland was relatively pleasant (like Newcastle). Then we went into the centre, and I rapidly re-evaluated. This was 1989, though, I would imagine it has improved a lot since then. Cleadon only has a Sunderland postcode. It isn't in Sunderland it is part of South Tyneside. So you really didn't encounter a nice part of Sunderland.

Revolution Number 9
Really don't get how they can possibly talk shite about any other town or city when their idea of a cultural renaissance is discovering fire. Even Seaham's starting to look like a nicer place than Sunderland these days.

Dismissed it in an earlier post, but tbh i haven't been, nor had the inclination to go to Sunderland city centre for years. Unless an NUFC side are playing there, i don't set foot in the city as a rule. The only exception is rarely visiting my wifes' relations in Washington. bowlingcrofty
I honestly believe they have no recollection of finishing 20 points behind us last season. If we had buggered off for the summer on the 18th March we still would have finshed above them.
