David28
Just hope the first away game won't be down in London (which is quite possible considering how many clubs are there ) Planning on seeing our first two games live, a few days there and a few days in Newcastle going up (or down) with the train. Manchester or something like that would be ideal probably.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
I'm hoping we get both of the Everton fixtures during their usual 'slow' start to the season phase. Hopefully we'll also have played both Wigan fixtures before their usual 'avoid relegation' mega run occurs near the end of the season.
aussiemag
Ideally you want a couple of the bigger sides around christmas time, while their schedules are full as well.

If you were wanting to do what you're planning, London would probably be ideal.

Haven't really gone through the details just yet, will do that as soon as the fixtures are out. As I've said, planning to do one week there watching our first two games. Yeah, trains to London are significantly less painful than trains to Manchester imo. There isn't even that much time difference.

Manchester would involve at least one change, normally to a sort of commuter train, London's just straight down the East Coast Mainline. It's probably quicker, or just as quick, to London on the train too.

bowlingcrofty
Twitter talk is that Arsenal v smb is first game, meaning we'd have a home game. Probably should have put this in the twitter b/s thread, but hey, I'm feeling frisky.

Dave
Some info for people who might be wondering: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17218968 Football authorities in England and Scotland have had a court claim over football fixtures' copyright rejected. European judges said compiling match fixture lists needed "significant" work, but did not entail the creativity required for copyright protection. Yahoo, bookmaker Stan James and sports information firm Enetpulse had been accused of breaching EU copyright laws. But the Premier League said it was for national courts to rule whether or not copyright protection was afforded. The matter will now return to the UK for a final ruling, and the league said it was confident that this hearing would go its way, and provide "database protection for the English and Scottish football leagues' fixtures". Dunno when that is scheduled for. For now, today this blog owner asked: Walsall 'Ay We @WalsallAyWe @football_league Is it still illegal for blogs to publish fixtures? 12:35 PM - 17 Jun 12 Walsall 'Ay We @WalsallAyWe @thefadotcom Is it still illegal for blogs to publish fixtures? 12:38 PM - 17 Jun 12 And got: TheFA.com @thefadotcom @WalsallAyWe websites should have a license to publish data with the leagues whose fixtures they show, ie PL and FL via Football DataCo 12:41 PM - 17 Jun 12 The Football League @football_league @WalsallAyWe You need a license from DataCo 8:52 PM - 17 Jun
