alexf
How dare Shola come out with that rubbish, man. Shola will say whatever he's told to. Pardew absolutely adores him going by all the comments he's made about him.

Wullie
The people on here before the game saying he should be starting ahead of Papiss Cisse ffs. I could fucking weep. Shola Ameobi man. I love him but that's because I long ago accepted that he's shit, will score against them, can hold the ball in the corner at the end and takes a mean penalty. That's his lot. Mick
One thing you can't fault Pardew for is getting his ethos installed in his staff.
Jagten
"We're always going to score goals - we just have to make sure we're solid as a side." Yes, especially with you upfront, Shola. With your 2 goals in your last 35 Premier League appearances.
Ronaldo
Shola's dreadful. As are we for putting ourseleves in a position where he gets a game.
taxfree
http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20121117/highs-and-lows-for-shola_2281670_2983519 It was the first time since Pardew's appointment in December 2010 that Newcastle have lost consecutive matches at St. James' Park, with United having been notoriously difficult to beat on their own ground until this month. "We spoke before the game about that and certainly that's something that we have to get back to," Ameobi said. "That's where we get most of our points and it's important that we as a team are solid, especially at the back, and not leaking as many goals as we have been. I think that's been a problem - to have to score three goals to win a game is going to be difficult for any team so we have to make sure we get back to basics and work hard and defend well as a team and build from there. "We're always going to score goals - we just have to make sure we're solid as a side." Could barely be more wrong. So much rubbish being spouted today. Dr Venkman
"We're always going to score goals - we just have to make sure we're solid as a side." That right there, that's it, that's Pardew's footballing philosophy.

Gallowgate Toon
Worrying quote about Jonas too, seems like if he'd have been fit he'd have waltzed back in, despite having a thoroughly shit season so far.
Jordan
Everything about him is worrying this season, rigid formation, shit football, player favouritism. He has a lot to address and needs to work on it straight away. Wish he wouldn't talk as much as well.

Wullie
Well all I've heard all week is how shit Jonas is and needs dropping, how shit Cabaye is and needs dropping, how shit Cisse is and needs dropping, we've also heard plenty about how shit Tiote is and needs dropping. Didn't seem to do us much good in the last fortnight. All of this focus on the players comes from people who refuse to accept that there's a fundamental problem with the way we play and the way the players are being coached. You could have any numbers of top class players in this current side and nobody would look any better than anyone else.
Gallowgate Toon
His answers to questions about tactics are the most worrying thing for me, he seems genuinely clueless.

Parky
I think deep down he is a good man, a man who it is clear has worked hard, a man who understands football, a man who has come up through the ranks. A man who was a glazier (window cleaner and mender) and took the risk of a tricky contract at Palace to have a chance to play football. He took a gamble and it paid off. He is in many ways a man who against all the odds made good. He, it is clear to me has learnt new skills and new methods of enahancing team formats and performance. He through choice has taken on one of the hardest jobs in football and to double that work with two of the trickiest characters to come into the game. He has worked within that budget...Not only the fianancial one, but the one that equates to self-worth. He was one of the lads when at Palace and was reknowned to be one of the ring leaders, perhaps even a future manager, it was a tough gig cause Kenny Sansom used to play left back for Palace and he was one of the best in the country at the time. I don't know. Sometimes you look up and you can go the extra mile. This is it Pards. This is Newcastle United. Give it all you know.

Jordan
He's started becoming one of those managers that whinge about how everything's against him. Used to love that he wasn't one of those but now he's making excuses to cover up his shit tactics.

midds
He looks and sounds clueless. I'm all for giving the chance to put things right but I'm not sure he's able/willing to do so. We'll have to see how it pans out but I've got serious doubts about him.
