70% Pardew

15% Lack of Summer investment

10% Injuries

5% Poor refereeing

0% The Europa League (what a f***ing bullshit excuse)

Totally ridiculous to say to that the EL has had no effect whatsoever on our poor form.

Aye it's nonsense. It's clearly played a big part.

Especially when the manager continually gave the players the EL as an excuse for performing poorly.

This pre-season went smoother than last years tbh.

Not just the fixtures - the lack of signings and the fact our better players were away at the Euro's and barely played a pre-season game was not a good way to start the season. Last season was light years better by comparison.

Just going to ignore the fact that Spurs and Chelsea have quality throughout their squads, whereas our bench normally consists of James Perch and some tiny ginger lad? The comparisons aren't particularly fair.

As for the proportion of blame conundrum. 50% Pardew, 50% players. It's verging on hilarious the lack of criticism the players actually playing the games have received this season despite their consistently shit performances. Obviously, Pardew has been equally as shite in his managing of the team, but even awful management can't account fully for our players' inability to string two passes together.

Why hasn't it affected Spurs?  It's an utter nonsense.

Our squad pre January was tiny and riddled with injuries.

Why hasn't it affected Spurs?  It's an utter nonsense.

They have a far stronger squad.

Did Spurs not play their 1st team for the majority of their EL games?

Went through most of their games and yes they did

It's the main reason. Good coaches can get average players doing that, bad coaches...

The bullshit excuses he's pedalled before a ball has even been kicked is unforgivable tbh. That nonsense before the Mackems game about not having enough time to prepare was fucking ridiculous. Gives the players completely the wrong message and sets them up nicely for a defeat.

Half the fucking time we weren't even playing the same players man. It's a stupid excuse.

Not as stupid as we might think, as you can see, there's a fair few who will buy it. Job done Pards

Pretty sure Pardew has read this as part of his coaching badge studies:

“I don’t want to finish ninth in the Premier League. There will be a season, somewhere down the line, when ninth will be ‘thank god for that’. That season will come – a run of injuries, it’s not working, you get sucked into a war down the bottom and the middle of the table will seem like a haven."

Interesting quotes from March last year. He "SOON"'d himself.

Strangely the worst feeling of the week comes not after watching Newcastle Matches anymore.

Its the day after when i watch the teams fighting for the top 6 ....

WE are a horrible team compared to this lot , the liverpools , spurs are really putting in incredible performances.

Why do we insist on a Manager that has never proven himself to be more than a one season wonder. We have not improved at all in terms of performances.
