Novocastrian
I feel a bit sorry for him really. Last year he could do no wrong and seemed like a bright young manager with a gameplan and fresh ideas. His ineptitude this season is making the fans turn against him. I blame Shola. Mr. Snrub
Interesting to see that Pardew's interview was all about individual players and stars that were missing, while Poyet was talking about formations and team shape. That's how it came across on the pitch as well. This sums it up really. Goes back to what I was saying earlier. The most worrying thing is that there seems an increasingly strong suggestion that all he does is pick the best players and expect it to work. If those players aren't available there's no cohesion at all. If he's going to stay, then serious questions need to be asked about this from those above him. Then again, they're clueless. Ba, Cisse and Hatem have been Pardew's get out of jail card for a long time. Our game plan has been to hoof the ball up top and hoping one of those lot pulled something magic out of the hat, which just happened to occur a lot last season. We just got passed off the park by a Championship team because we don't have any organisation or ability to hold on to the ball and knock it about. Why? Because instead of setting up as a team we rely on certain individuals, and when they're not on the pitch we're well and truly fucked.
Guest neesy111
No FM in a PC game grown/childish men play whilst sat in the underwater scratching their balls as life passes them by, only leaving the game to talk utter bollocks on internet forms as they think the game has some how educated them on the world of football. But you think we'll get better when our better players come back? NO SHIT SHERLOCK Idiot pissed off we are poor without them but its Pardew's fault. A decent manager can get any bunch of individuals to look like a team and set up some tactics. We've seen nothing of that from us in recent weeks, that is down to the manager. What about our set pieces, why are they so bad?
Guest Dontooner
Give him the sack, we already look like a team without a manager. Cant see it getting worst. Apart from his PR skills he is a liability to the team. Fraud (Those who can't see the fraud suck on your thumb hope)
toon25
Taylor and Cabaye coming back will help for sure, but it won't be enough to stop the rot. Even when they were available we were playing long ball 442 shite.

Weezertron
If I though for split second they would replace him with a better manager then maybe just maybe I would agree but you know they won't and I do have 100% faith he will save our season once we get our injured players back and IF they back him with decent signings. Debuchy is a start but he should have here 6 months ago had the done things right. So basically our injured players will save our season, not Pardew. Ah see that is where clubs are going wrong, no need for managers just players... who knew We need a manager who can manage players of varying ability. Crumpy Gunt
Right before I slope off to bed to die, aint been this ill in a very long time I HAD to post this. STOP THE f***ing PARDEW BASHING. Its pathetic, the people you want to sack him are the very people to blame for a huge part of this mess we are in, the same people who seen fit to sign ONE first team player in the summer for an already very thin squad. You honestly think Pardew wants players like he had to pick today anywhere near the first team squad ? A couple of them may make the bench if we are riddled with injuriess but having to start them must be soul destroying. You lot throw around names of managers like there is a chance we could get them when really there is no hope in hell we would look at them or that they would even conciser us if we did. Its the cheapest option EVERY time not the best option. Yes get a new manager and we start winning games oh look "Cabaye had a great game" "wow Cisse looks class again back in the middle" "what a difference a proper right back makes" "thank god Taylor is fir again". Yes we are out of the cup but we played a team not patchwork side full of kids who probably won't make it at the highest level. He needs our support now more than ever, let see how things go for him once he gets players back, lets hope the powers that be sign a decent striker and CB and not more lower league dross or young kids. Give him the tools to do they job you expect him to do! Happy clapping for a manager who's lost 9 out of the last 11. Utterly disgraceful and embarrassing performance today. matta
The situation we're in has been around all season. Loads of people mentioned we had to pick up alot of points against the poorer teams we faced or it would be long season. Now it is. We had Cabaye and Saylor in alot of those games, HBA in some. We can't blame injuries, theres more to it than that.

Whars that your FM mantra Packing the box and getting your keeper to lump free kicks towards the penalty spot is the sort of aimless percentage play poor teams adopt when they are losing with ten minutes to go. Pardew had us doing it with 45 minutes to go. It has fuck all to do with the players we had available and everything to do with a seriously limited manager who can't stop talking shit. I've never played FM and AP is crap.

toontownman
What is most annoying about the Pardew situation is the fact that 99% of the Newcastle- nline board can identify problems and solutions with/to the team months before our coaching staff will consider addressing them. - Refusal to play Obertan on the left when it is clearly his most effective position, likewise Sammy Ameobi on the Right. - Zero creativity through the center and even when our most creative central mids play we sit so deep and invite pressure and never threaten through the middle. - Refusal to drop or even rest Gutierrez - Refusal to drop Simpson - Shola ffs shola.. for 10 years (cant blame Pardew for all of those) - Williamson set pieces and general long ball play Lastly can we debunk this actual Pardew myth whilst it is still floating around. - Credit for easing Ben Arfa, Marveaux and to a lesser extent Santon into the team -----> in actual fact point blank refused to play them even though every fan was crying out for them and the side lacked creativity, then surprisingly when he was forced to play them from an injury crisis, they both played consistently well and rejuvenated the side. Someone said it best earlier, I wouldn't mind so much if we just had some honesty from Pardew and the club staff after games or acceptance of blame. Instead we get fed the same crap we have been watching on the field and a bunch of excuses. I am undecided about sacking him..like everyone else we have no clue which random crappy british former manager Ashley would pull out of a hat to take over. I am sure Everton fans thought the exact same thing with Moyes at the exactly the same time in his Everton career when they finished 17th (after 7th the season before). On the flipside I don't know that I have faith in Pardew to turn things around, spirit seems to broken in many players. We need more than a couple of new faces this window, 3/4 minimum to give everyone a lift. I 95% expect us to sweat it out for the next month before any possibly decisions would be made.
