"The young players, they did well today" Jesus fuckin Christ.

Has to defend them in public. I reckon he'll have came down on them in the dressing room.

Tore them to shreds in public after the Bordeaux game.

As much as that's a lie he would have been f***ing crucified on here had he said they were s***. "Wouldn't dare say that about the senior players" "Bully" etc

True, although he could have said the team as a whole played poorly, admitted some mistakes and apologised to the fans.

Did he just say the players tried as hard as they possibly could???

To be fair, what should he have said? The whole squad's confidence is shot. The last thing they need is criticism in public.

A good manager takes the blame in public (even if its not his fault) and bollocks in private.

Beyond Pardew though.

criticise the young players you chose. Cowardly prick.

He did exactly the opposite of criticise them. He said they did well.

He can't win whatever he says tbh.

He criticised them after the Bordeaux game, such a hypocritical manager he is.

So he should have criticised them again today just to keep up consistency?

At what point do you make the decsion, to give a new manager a fighting chance it has to be now.

Absolutely bang on. No point waiting. It'll be too late.

Very, very few clubs in Europe who finished 5th in the previous season would allow a manager with this run of results to continue.

What the fuck is wrong with Amalfitano. Would also rather we took a chance on a Campbell or Ranger at moment. To be honest Tavernier played better than Williamson and he's the more experienced player. Santon looks like he is going down hill now and Perch is not a Centre Half in a million years
