Elliottman
Should give us a big life that secnd half performance. Norwich and Reading up next in the league.
Away Toon
That was definitely the proverbial smash and grab, daylight robbery whatever you want to call it. Great point
Kaizero
Oh, well. I guess big clubs do get all the decisions. Don't you think Fagielka?
Stifler
YES, the flukiest point ever. On the balance of play, yes, on decisions no. For me Anichebe got the faintest of touches before Fellaini. For the one that went over the line, it was never a free kick in the first place, then we should have been allowed to play on and there was a 99% chance that we would have scored. Oh and lets not forget that they should have been down to 10 men.
Skeletor
Seriously someone please get the Jagielka pic. I need a good wank right now.
littlelunchbox
in pardew we trust 4-4-2 lol
Disco
Fluky morale booster + comfortable cup victory... Could, COULD, be the beginning of our season. There was a seriously marked improvement from first half to second which has soothed some of my worries about the mentality of the players. Like the last round? I gets what you mean though. The Prophet
Over the moon with that, lucky as f*** but we'll get enough of the bad form this season. Got to say, the goal keeping for all four goals was absolutely dreadful. Nearly had an aneurysm with Harper for the second. Krul would of saved Everton efforts. hakka
Great point as it was such an exciting game to watch. Should have lost, but could have cheekily won it.
Big Geordie
Well, I called the changes at HT! Over the moon with the point, but a get our of jail free goal card used up tonight. Fellani was onside, and Annicibe's goal was over the line. But two superb strikes from Ba, Cabaye found his passing range and Anita and Jonas shut down Baines. Very much a point won, but by christ - fortunate!
Guest Spark
Can't beat a last minute equaliser like that. Absolutely gutted for a few minutes, then pure ecstasy. Almost screamed the flat down.
CaliMag
LOL a point that I will easily take. AND Harper was not that bad FFS. Both of the goals that counted were good ones and would have been very difficult to save. Not that anyone will listen because there will be more senseless Harper bashing for the next couple of days. Dr Venkman
Great response to being benched from Ba like. Harper though, dear me, we really need another sub keeper. I didn't think they were that good btw, they just worked harder than us and we were shite first half. I said we'd get a result :-)
garth
I think I would like to see Perchy, in the middle more often and Anita at right back.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Fantastic given we only played for 45 minutes. Massive difference going 442 to stop Baines and Pienaar. Fantastic chest from Shola for Demba's second. Unbelievable that it came from a Williamson thump! Quite confident for the Norwich game on Sunday now. Think Pardew will go with a similar team. Steve Brenner from The Sun reckons Obertan refused to go on.
gbandit
Well Ba is back, Santon was ace, Taylor had some right moments and Cabaye slipped in at least two great blalls. Cheers lads, I love football
Super Duper Branko Strupar
I'm having withdrawal symptoms from that already. It's like some radgies grabbed me, kicked me in the nuts then pumped a load of heroin in my arm.
ponsaelius
Anichebe dived for the freekick in the first place btw. So I refuse to feel guilty for that goal. And our local Nigerian is better than him.
BleedsBlackAndWhite
Got lucky there but over the moon we got a result, what a 2nd half man lol hearts still pounding. 1st half was pure shit though. complete and utter shit.
Klaus
Great effort second half, hopefully that result will give us the boost we need to start a run of decent form. Demba Ba was immense
Elliottman
Hope Neil feels like shit.
indi
Two periods in that game where we looked like we could be arsed and we dominated during them, for the rest of the game we looked like we couldn't give a shit and played like a bunch of clowns. When our attitude's right we look like the team which finished 5th last season, when it's not we don't. We need to be 100% at it all the time, hopefully by the next game we'll have our game heads sorted, 'bout time too.
Parky
As huge points go that was a huge point. Season has finally started.
