Newcastle United vs Swansea City - Saturday 17th November, 3pm

Recommended Posts

Why are we jumping to 442 conclusions?

Can easily be 433 or switched to 433 mid-game.

Because the NUFC official twitter said it was four four two?

Because the NUFC official twit is allowed into team tactic meetings?

You don't know who runs the account, it could be Pardew for all you know, i don't recall it ever being wrong until the west brom game.

It's the clubs PR lass who runs the account, the only way she knows the formation is if Pardew talks in his sleep.

Christ, this club is a joke. They can't even do the basics and inform a country when a player isn't fit.

Sounds like they did tbh:

"Immediately following the Premier League fixture against West Ham United on Sunday the Club went through the normal communication channels to advise the Senegalese Federation that both Papiss and Demba Ba would not be available for the international friendly match between Niger and Senegal scheduled for Wednesday, 14th November 2012, due to injury."

No idea what 'normal communication channels' are in this case but we're claiming we got in touch. :dontknow:

I'm not convinced - weren't most people of the impression Cisse would be off on international duty?

I don't know the facts either of course, but even if Senegal did have a grudge against us, they'd need something to work with in order to lodge this claim, some failure/incompetence in procedure.

Not sure of the exact regulations tbh, I'd need to have a little dig for them. They've obviously got FIFA on their side though so there's not much we can do in all honesty.

From a completely selfish point of view I hope he tells them to fuck off and retires from International football.

And we've got Ashley who has an ego big enough to take on the whole of FIFA and International Football. I can see a legal case brewing

Swans team.

Tremmel, Rangel, Williams, Monk ©, Davies, Britton, de Guzman, Dyer, Hernandez, Michu, Shechter.

So Chico is still out and Kemy didn't make it, 2 first choice in the back 5, a light midfield and Shecter's first start.

Seems it will be an interesting game.

I thought it was odd when the twitter account started naming the formation pre game but like I say I can only remember it being incorrect once.

Quite glad at that. Seems a solid, strong player.

You actually can't retire from international football. They can pick you anytime they want.

I've heard that before but surely it's bollocks. It amounts to fucking slavery- he doesn't want to do and has no contract saying he has tot but is forced to. It's not even slightly enforceable.

Remember when bowyer was missing for 12 games and not 6 for not submitting a form.

I remember Makelele being called up after he quit when he didn't want to play anymore but was forced to. That's why I'm saying it. I'm not sure if FIFA clarified the situation after that. Maybe they did and you're allowed to quit.

Aye that's the example I was going to use.

I do recall that. I imagine Makelele didn't kick up enough of a stink- I seem to recall the French manager and Mourinho arguing about it and him being caught in the middle.

If I was a footballer, I would refuse to play international football. I'd then sue the crap out of anyone who tried to make me.

If we don´t see anything other than 4-4-2, then Pardew is a real idiot.

I don't want us to play our usual 4-4-2 but Sammy in there gives us a bit of hope.  He's quick and young enough to run all day so he could be playing in a more attacking midfielder type role linking up the play.  With HBA and Fergie getting forward and attacking the flanks it might work well and be a bit more fluid than our normal 4-4-2.

Still a little worried about us being outnumbered in the centre again but in Tiote and Anita we have a couple of midfielders who can get around the pitch.
