They're tearing us apart. Southampton are tearing us apart.

But we don't have Ben Arfa and Fergie has a cold and Ba is a bit sad because there was no milk and he couldn't have cereal this morning and it's raining and the ball is too round.

being raped here.

southampton play some of the best attacking football in the league imo, their little deft touches and off the ball movement are so intelligent, you can tell Adkins has drilled these elements of the game into the players relentlessly and its paid off.

on the other hand they are still massively defensively naive and lack individual presence at the back. all we need to do is keep the ball around their box for a sustained period of 5-10 mins and they'll struggle to contain us. instead we're hoofing it long again to no avail. our inability to perform such rudimentary basics really is damning for Pardew.

Ba and Cisse's hold up and lay off play are the worst i've ever seen from Newcastle strikers.

So bad it isn't even League two standard.

its not their fault, its not their game to do that just because they are tall doesnt mean they are hold up players.

mite as well stick two michael owens upfront and blast it long.

It is their fault, Cisse gives it away like a school kid and under hits his lay off's. Thats nowt to do with the formation (which i hate). But poor play when they actually have at their feet.

you're right when they give it away, but alot times their miscontrols and losing the balls come from hoof balls straight them.
