Dave
To be fair to Pardew he's clearly trained since Arsenal based on Ba starting, so this is no real surprise. He wouldn't change everything at the last minute. Disappointing yes, but not surprising. Just confirmed this, and confirmed that going forward Cisse will be up front. Sima
Pardew confirms Shola's selection a straight swap for Ba Cisse to be moved to the centre ASAP.
Django
Surely Shola's in there to help deal with the physical stuff Everton will invariably bring to the party.
Guest SweMatt
It has to be a 4-4-2 with Obertan and Marveaux on the wings. Tiote as anchor and Anita just in front of him.
BoSelecta
Can't really blame Pardew for his selection tonight. Pleased he's confirmed Cisse will be through the middle after this game.
themanupstairs
Bollocks. He now has his excuse at the ready.

He'll be changing it by half time anyway as it won't work, like most of Pardew's zany first half formations. So much for his meticulous preparation. David28
Human of The Killers running at SJP. I once fell in love with this song (and band) while being their seeing the players warming up.
Mistle17
Would be tempted to play a 4-4-2 diamond with that line up. Shola and Cisse up top. Everton look to be lining up as 4-4-1-1.
Skeletor
Sky lined it up as 4-2-3-
Ronaldo
They're all contradicting what Pardew's just told them. Idiots.
afar
Can't really blame Pardew for his selection tonight. Pleased he's confirmed Cisse will be through the middle after this game. Yes you can, he's basically suggesting that it will take time for Cisse to adapt to playing through the middle ! It's a stupid, stupid team selection, a huge gamble that will make him look like a genius if he pulls it off, but more than likely will end like most of us suspect. Tiresias
Pards preparing Cisse meticulously to get raped by Baines and Pienaar seems a tad harsh on papisse. Rich
So where is Shola playing, right wing? Pardew said he's slotted Shola in for Ba directly, as that's the way we'd been preparing for the game up until end of training yesterday (with Cisse right again). Quailman
All Pardew did was confirm what we already knew. Don't know where people are getting the Cisse playing down the middle from the start? He suggested that this is where he will likely to end up, that could be at some random time in the game. Cisse and Ba did occasionally swap, which we obviously can't do with Shola in his place. Quailman
13 league starts on our bench; 7 of them for Ferguson. That's frightening! Can't see our subs impacting on the game at all.
