Is there a medium between losing the ball and halting the attack and a Jonas pass? You know, the type Yaya Toure or Juan Mata make? Funnily enough. When playing alongside Perch & Bigi, Tiote didn't get nearly as much slack for trying hollywood balls "all the time".

The College Dropout
Course it's worth mentioning. If you're #10 can't find his man, your team will struggle to create. His passing was the worst in our side. People liek to say I am biased so i'm bringing facts.

Lets not act like his passing has been poor since he joined.
TheHoob
Some of his through balls and passing before the Stoke game have been brilliant, probably only Cabaye, HBA and possibly Marv in the team capable of picking them out on a reasonably regular basis. Hanshithispantz
He has 2 assists in 6 games. Toure & Wilshire both have 3 assists in 24 & 18 games respectively. If we're going to be thick and base things PURELY ON FACTS his current passing game has him assisting a goal 1 in every 3 games. Juan Mata assists 1 in every 2.9. Ishmael
I can only comment on what I have witnessed, but Sissoko's priority is to play direct into goalscoring areas with ball retention only an option if there isn't a player in such an area. Most of his attempted passes have a low likelihood of success. Stats can certainly mislead without the contextual information. There were several games last season when Tiote racked up 50/60+ passes with a near 100% pass completion rate. The vast majority of those passes were short distance and low risk. His passing was the worst in our side. People liek to say I am biased so i'm bringing facts. Your. Not you're. Just because he's playing behind the striker doesn't make him a rigid number 10. If Sissoko was getting the ball and constantly looking to play Cisse in or if he was just passing, then I'd be more concerned that his game was so one dimensional than I would be if he misplaced a lot of them. Sissoko is obviously a much more well-rounded player than that and it's plain to see. I don't see why it's necessary to nitpick on the one area of his game that isn't perfect, when he also plays some excellent, attacking passes and glides past the opposition for fun. It's just your usual oh contrare bullshit.

Hanshithispantz
aye. I was going to edit that in after reading Mole & Huss' comments but was unsure how the other players would be effected, I got it from that WhoScored site which TheCollegeDropout uses religiously as fuel for his incoherent arguments. Kanj
Comparing a young man who just arrived in English football to the likes of Mata, Toure, and Wilshire who have played here for many years is mind boggling. Also lets not forget Moussa has completely transformed the way we attack and has more or less been the biggest catalyst for our uptick in results since January. He's been outstanding for us when even he is below his standard (and I've had no problems with him at all since he's joined either) These type of posts in nearly every thread, nearly every morning I wake up are becoming so predictable now. It's getting fucking old man.
Ishmael
Wouldn't have a problem with the comparison if the sample size for Sissoko's performance wasn't a mere 6 EPL games.
AyeDubbleYoo
I was frustrated by a couple of his passes against Stoke, but I think generally his passing has been fine. Especially considering the other stuff he has brought to our attacks.
The College Dropout
I'm just saying, in that one game, Siss passing was poor. Sometimes, he should be more patient. No more, no less. I know we wear black & white but you can criticise a performance whilst still being happy with the player. Am I allowed to criticise the one performance? I say something true and factual. I then get told it's fine that he lost the ball so much because he's trying to create and that I must want him to pass like Jonas. I mention, other players' who create loads for their sides have much higher pass completion than what Siss showed against Stoke and now i'm being unfair! Jimburst
I think it's probably because you consistently criticise good players for little to no reason, and are incredibly irritating at the same time.
