Can we not change the thread title to add the answer = never.

If there is three things we desperately need it is a striker, central defender and box to box midfielder. If the price is true we should be throwing everything into making this happen. No one of his quality anywhere near 3.5m

If only we could this lad, De Jong & Mbiwa.

We'd at least have a chance then.

I'm not sure what De Jong would do for us. We need wide player/s.

A lot of things tbh. Very good movement, scores goals, creative and very good passer, can play behind Cisse and provide him with service he needs and as a CF if Cisse is injured.

I agree we still need wide players but why can't we have both?

The OM offer to Sissoko is said to be £37k/week + a sign on bonus of around £700k. Dunno if correct or true. Know that someone on here mentioned his demands earlier, or thought to be.

is that 37k net or gross. new french tax laws make a hell of a difference.

Sorry, don't know. The article that said this didn't mention it (not sure if it even was a reliable source or not)

How good is de Jong ??

Stuck a few past city no problem, and would be the perfect fit just behind cisse imo.

Hollande's first proposal was rejected (If you didn't already know). He's probably going to keep pursuing it, but an amended version's not likely to be introduced until 2014 at the earliest.

He basically plays the Nolan role but significantly better.

Aye basically, although as far as i'm aware Nolan can't play CF it wouldn't be the best situation but he can do it. But even if this was realistic we would still need a winger as our wide options HBA aside are f*cking garbage.

Their President has given him an ultimatum.

1 - Signs a new contract.

2 - Leaves this month.

3 - Sit on the bench until June

These are saying there's been concrete bids from Marseille, Monaco and several English clubs including us. Will have to try and search the original quotes as this site is saying he's made it public that those are his choices.

You know why it's got to this stage anyway? Seems odd he is in this situation given that he's only ever played for Toulouse and he's been "hot property" for a while.

Didn't Lazio try that a few years back with Pandev only to lose him early because of it

Heading north to Moussa Sissoko? The French international (6 selections), formed Téfécé would not really tempted by the idea of rallying, this winter, Olympique de Marseille, second in Ligue 1. The reason? The player, 23 years old, and coming out of contract at the end of the season, opt more readily for England and Paris Saint-Germain. "He wants to stay in Toulouse until the end of his contract. Moreover, it is a Parisian at heart, and he said that it will be a difficult day to play for PSG if he wears the jersey of the OM, "he told a relative of the player in the columns of La Provence. For now, Newcastle would be interested in the services of native Blanc Mesnil.

Copy and paste from Topmercato.

Seems like he doesn't want to go to OM as it would make it difficult for him to play for PSG one day (if i understand the translation correctly) Probably not worthy to post about, but i did anyway, as it's probably not as likely that he'll sign for OM as thought.
