AyeDubbleYoo
I'm only really repeating what everyone else said last night in this thread but it killed me watching him playing last night giving the dross we have at centre back. Some of the interceptions he made and that last ditch tackle at the end was really quality stuff. His distribution looked a bit poor at times but it just begs the question what does Pardew actually do in training and why can none of our players confidently pass a ball. Because apparently the oppositions best chance of scoring is when you have the ball. The exact opposite of what everyone else thinks about football! Weird. St1pe
Because apparently the oppositions best chance of scoring is when you have the ball. I bet Pards was terrified for Roma when they were passing City off the pitch at 1-0.

HawK
Looking back at all that Tevez, Mascherano, Hayden Mullins stuff now, after the dust has settled, perhaps there actually was a point to be made against Pardews management there after all? And it wasn't just that Pards was unlucky to be landed with those two who disrupted the rhythm/style/fret of his team, as many on here pointed out. It's seriously taken this shit with MYM for you to accept what has been accepted truths for almost a decade. Christ

ujpest doza
After this, HBA, Tévez, Mascherano... I'm starting to be convinced that Pardew wouldn't recognize a good player if Ronaldo and Messi showed up at his doorstep and beat him up with a metal baseball bat. I'm wondering now if Chucky Ferrerya is actually proper mint as he seems to score every time he's anywhere near a pitch for behind closed doors games where Pards isn't involved. Pata
How does that happen every single time Has been in a poor form lately though. Had one in the match thread that got zero bites and this wasn't exactly a homerun.
Ste
This whole episode can be summed up by a simple facepalm. There it is. Well done Alan Pardew.

thenige
Bizarre to think this is fairly far down on the list of annoying things the club has done in recent times. There are THAT many.

Magpie
Arguing with a group of blokes on Facebook who think he's utter shite. I honestly do despair at times with some of our 'fans'.
Wullie
MYM is the sort of defender that looks good in a good team and shite in a shite team, bit like David Luiz. He's not the type who can play backs to the wall stuff. Unfortunately that's all Alan Pardew is interested in. A good team playing football that might not make a spectator want to shoot themselves in the face might find their way into Europe and cost him his job. Fuck that shit. Interpolic
I think if Coloccini had left like seemed likely at the time then Pardew would have been forced to play MYM and it would have ended up differently. IMO he was Colo's replacement, there's no way we would have signed such a similar player for big-ish money (fee and wages) otherwise. As it happens, Pardew was never going to leave Coloccini out when he was fit and (rightly or wrongly) was never going to play them together either. So MYM never played. Disco
True, where they were expecting Coloccini to move to though, I'm not sure.
Mr. Snrub
We're playing Mike Williamson and fighting relegation while this guy is playing in the CL and will be challenging for Serie A. That just sunk in.
Ronaldo
I think they wanted a replacement for Mike Williamson and got it totally wrong, basically. Colo was never going anywhere because nobody else has ever wanted him.
Interpolic
I disagree, not on the wages Yanga-M'Biwa was on. We were in relegation danger and with all of that stuff going on in Coloccini's personal life (whatever it was), it did seem like he might be transferred or go AWOL or at the very least not be at all focussed. Ronaldo
I'm pretty sure the deal was concluded with the player before Colo went insane.
