TRon
Might actually get a chance as central striker next season, not because that's his position though, because we have nobody else. We'll be getting relegated then. He would have been better than anyone who played central striker this season (the stats back this up). We need to replace Remy who was better wide left. I like Gouffran as a player, and he could do a job as a secondary striker, but as if we were to rely on him to be our main striker next season we'll be fighting relegation. Pardew definitely needs another Ba/half season Cisse/Remy, as it stands Gouffran is our main goal threat and should not be used as a defensive player. I'm not going to argue that he's been misused, he's obviously not a left back or a left winger, but if you ask me whether he's capable of being our front line striker next season, I'm going to say no. Just based on what I've seen of him, he looks like a decent squad striker at best.

TaylorJ_01
Caj, there's absolutely no chance he can be our main striker.

Klaus
That attempt when one on one against liverpool Tbf i blame Pards for his (and many others), lack of confidence.
Disco
See Dave's bump from page 3 and raise him a page 4. Growing to dislike this lad, he's slowly becoming Jonas but without the japes.
Ronaldo
He was our worst player today, no doubt. There's just no real quality in his feet.
Smal
Yeah, it's ridiculously obvious he shouldn't be playing on the wing. Central striker or bench, imo.
sempuki
Can't fault his effort (probably why he gets a game) but offers next to nowt on the wing. Better from the bench.
olliemort
He is frustating as fuck when the ball is passed to him I know he is going to lose it. The amount of times the city defenders just stepped in front of him with ease and took the ball off him was embarrassing while he rolled around the ground like a fanny. No fucking way he is a winger. Up front or nothing

Pilko
He was our worst player today, no doubt. There's just no real quality in his feet. Sissoko shaded it, for me. That said, I thought today was Gouffran's best game in about 8 or 9 months... and yet I'd still have rated him at about a 6 or slightly higher. He's so bang average it hurts. Mole_Toonfan
He's clearly not a winger, you play him upfront or not at all. Quite frankly I'm past annoyance with his constant backpasses but also realise it's not his fault he's playing in a position which he struggles with. Gallowgate Toon
Reckon he'll be shunted out when Tiote and de Jong get fit, meaning Sissoko goes wide. Frankly, I'd even start Perez or Aarons ahead of him, in his current form. Striker or not at all.
Ronaldo
Nah, I can't see Aarons being much good at chasing wingers to no defensive effect whatsoever.
toontownman
Thought he worked hard but he offers nothing as a winger as stated numerous times. Reminds me of a pacier version of Jonas circa his last two years for us. Clearly Pardew demanding he plays as a wingback. He did the same to Jonas who albeit lost his pace but was always direct attacking wise before he got Pardewed. If it wasn't for that I would be more excited about Aarons. EthiGeordie
Surely he should be the one who is getting dropped when Siem comes back.
Yorkie
I'd say there's a very strong chance it'll be Cabella who makes way, given Pards' concerns regarding his lack of physicality.
Taylor Swift
No chance of that. It'll be Gouffran who drops out. De Jong goes in the middle, Sissoko on the right and Cabella on the left.

The College Dropout
No chance of that. It'll be Gouffran who drops out. De Jong goes in the middle, Sissoko on the right and Cabella on the left. Agreed. Pardew's an idiot but he's not that much of an idiot.
