Guest firetotheworks
It was another brilliant finish and as basic as he is, he's the best option we have there. Perez has been poor for a very long time imo, and obviously doesn't suit playing there even when he does have a good day.
TRon
Biggest improver? Â Or maybe just a player who was misused badly because of his 'will do' attitude. You can't strike the ball that well three times in the last few games and call it a fluke. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets offered a new contract. Dinho lad
I'll maintain that he's always been a decent player (and feel free to scour through my posts to back that up) that's been chronically misused until now. Â Absolutely.
AyeDubbleYoo
I think the same although doubt he has that much to contribute in the Premier League.
Dinho lad
Yes - but he was clearly Pardewed but yet he received more criticism about it than probably anyone else. (In fact, it was quite a contrast to the treatment, on here, that the other Pardewed players were getting.)Â

Was not advocating picking him ahead of HBA, but that's a lame excuse.
Jayson
It's not an excuse saying it didnt help his cause, ofcourse it didn't. Thats beyond obvious.

Scoot
Just seen his miss when Diame hit the bar and it fell for him about 9 yards out. Â How did he miss?

Eh, im just saying that clearly affected peoples frustration with him. Not that it was his fault. Whether you agree with it or not, it obviously wont help if people think theres a better option. Can't honestly remember if he got more flack than other players around then.  LW was never Ben Arfa's place. Certainly not under Pardew.
Yorkie
Left-wing spot is definitely his unless Atsu starts really turning it on in training/off the bench. Don't mind that, either. Hopefully we'll invest in the wings in January, Routledge-style.

Well, that, in essence, is what I was criticising: people's lack of logic towards his predicament.  And no, he certainly did receive a lot more flack than most players. I mean, after all, supposedly in place of fans' favourite, he played enough times.
