cp40
they are doing the thing they do, when they do that thing, where they say when they go down and then win the championship at the first attempt, assumption thing they do.
RodneyCisse
I like them calculating they need 8 more wins and 9 draws.

Benwell Lad
All the free tickets have turned up dressed as seats. May not be POTY but one of the funniest.

Dokko
Lose to wham and Cardiff pick up a draw at the weekend and they'll effectively need 8pts, or double their current total to catch up with nearly half the season gone. That's some way to come back from.

madras
having a look at RTG and I'm surprised at the amount of surrendering going on on the back of a defeat by spurs especially given their next half dozen games or so.
bhoywhonder
From 23 games? No chance. 14 games. With only 14 games to go (8 at home and 9 away) minus the parachute payment co-efficient (2.6 games in lieu) and bearing in mind they've already played 17 games which deducted from 38 makes 24....that makes an average of 5.434343 recurring points per game required. I think West Ham managed it in 1998 marra.

I think West Ham managed it in 1998 marra. No way marra we're not going down. We only need 1.5666 recurring points per game and all our remaining games are really easy and everyrone else's are really difficult. All the players are right behind Poyet and he's got us playing brilliant stuff. If we keep Brown fit he can keep us up single handed and Altidore's on a roll now as well. Ellis will buy us another 5 top quality players in January so we'll probably finish mid table. All aboard the Gus bus! Quinny's a legend. FTM. bowlingcrofty
They've comfortably got enough about them to survive IMO. They've played all their hard home games. Only got the duckeggs at home after Christmas and they're only a couple of wins off safety. As sad as it sounds I think they'll be ok.
Leazes1986
They could quite easily go into 2014 needing to get another 30 points to give them a chance.
Tiresias
I still think they'll pull through thanks to the sheer shitness of a lot of teams just above them, they're not very far from a lot of teams sadly. I'd love them to have some big fightback only to be relegated by some fluke result on last day of season mind
Ally
8 points is fucking pitiful by the way. They'll surely beat Derby's 11 point record though
nufc4eva
Will know more after next weekend but I think they are fucked, they have struggled against all the teams around them and lost to 2 teams just above them that now have new managers. Cardiff and West Ham will be in it for long haul but scum have to get above Palace and Fulham and both could be 5 points ahead of them with better gd. They have to win 2-3 games with 3/4 teams not getting a point and think it will be a struggle

Neil
I'm aware this is some sort of rumbling argument on here, one I've not paid much attention to, but... I think Altidore is an alright player. Holds the ball up OK, has a bit of pace. By no means a very good player but I think useful enough for Sunderland.
TK-421
Looks like Fulham, along with Palace are having their 'new manager bounce'.... Fulham 2-0 up now, even Berbatov is scoring again. Good Times.

He doesn't seem to offer anything apart from being a big lump. They apparently paid £9m for him? I just don't see it but then I really don't watch them that much.
