Sam Allardyce enjoyed a 3-0 win in October as he became the fourth Sunderland boss on the spin to celebrate victory over the Magpies in their second match in charge.

So small time, man. Sacking managers specifically to win the derby.

I guess we will play Marveaux, Taylor, Riviere, Gouffran, Darlow... No chance that any of the clubs will use their best players.

I fail to see the point otherwise. Surely this has been arranged to give the winner a morale boost of sorts?

Not saying it's a good idea mind.

Whatever the outcome, I can tell you now that we'll have been "tremendous" and that if we lose, at least the signs were there.

Couldn't fault the players attitude either.

If we lose like that every week, we're gonna have no problems in this league.
