I thought last years transfer business was poor at the time. Turns out Perez & Janmaat are way better than I expected although Cabella & De Jong disappointed. that disappointment was made a little better with Cisse coming back to form.

But still.. we were saved by the rest of the league (well 3 sides) being absolutely hopeless. More hopeless than us. But looking at the business being done by other clubs, we really need to step it up.

Why would the Euro drop? If Greece leaves and starts printing drachmas, I imagine the Euro will become slightly stronger.

But then their debt won't be paid off? So euro takes the hit to oust them? Or is that not right?

If Greece decides they're not paying then Euros should go up because it's basically reducing the amount of Euros potentially circulating. Deflation makes the currency appreciate. This isn't taking into the effect of risk off behaviour which will mean European investors buy more of German bonds.

Except it's the opposite that happens. If the Greeks no longer use Euros, but the same amount of Euros are in circulation, it means the amount of Euros in regards to the population will be bigger. Thus there will be inflation of the currency.

Linked to Chris Martin of Derby by Graeme Bailey.  Links get worse and worse.

If there is any truth in that, it means they are panicking and have run out of ideas/targets already.  So much for all this much vaunted scouting and planning they are always boasting about.

Sorry, but if the Greeks stop using the Euro then a significant chunk of their debt in Euros will be written off, which is deflation. And the amount of debt that they have is a lot compared to the Euros that would normally circulate in Greece.

Their debt would have to be repaid in its original currency, not in Drachma. Regardless, the uncertainty has already had an effect on the Euro value and it will most likely continue a while after a Grexit until we see what the effect the Grexit will have on the eurozone. This is before even contemplating on the decreased stock value of eurozone countries if the Greeks leave.

We decided against bringing in any new players because there was just too much uncertainty about a possible Grexit. Wonder how that will go down with the happy clappers who have renewed based on those hollow pledges by the fat man.

The fans forum should be interesting on Monday

Surprised they haven't moved it start of August. Going to be grim and dull as f***.

"We've got a meeting arranged next week to discuss targets, hoping to get one or two in soon, club has to be the best it can pound for pound, we need to find value, blah blah blah."

It'll be the same old shit.
