On BBC:

"Jack in Newcastle: Last season we almost got relegated. This season by January we were safe without spending a single penny. Pardew is fighting a losing battle against an Newcastle board with no ambition. Our star player out and two loan signings is not good enough. Feel for Alan."

I don't understand why people see the Newcastle board and Pardew as separate, he willingly goes along with their plans, he's an enabler, not some martyr figure.

The two injuries left us on a "knife redge" apparently, goes on to say:

"We had a couple who was, we praps needed to take off in terms of their energy levels but obviously we'd run out of subs so that was unfortunate."

Then this gem:

"I'm pretty sure I would have stopped that last goal if I'da been there."

He's spent the last two months moaning about Remy and Debuchy being injured and today's excuse is that he had to bring Remy and Debuchy on.

You couldn't possibly be suggesting it's Alan Pardew's fault?!

To think if Cisse didn't glance that injury-time header in last month, we'd be 11th.

Would have been:

9... Stoke..............-10.....44

10. Palace.............-12.....44

11. Newcastle........-16......44
