To be fair, when he mentions intelligence I don't think he's wanting the players to go out and get masters degrees. I'm all for the players acting more intelligently on the pitch, I just struggle to see how Alan Pardew is the man to teach them.

He's going to put intelligence into them.

Is that the line he uses on the ladies?  :azn:

Cannot believe some of his quotes this week.  Generally always think I couldn't detest him more, but he proves me wrong regularly.

Those quotes are f***ing outrageous, I'd go into a f***ing massive rant about the fact I'm from a fairly rough area in Wallsend yet have been well educated at school, college and then University but I just can't be arsed.

Alan Pardew is an absolute f***ing prick, and it kills me that some of our support are too thick to see that.  Ironically enough it'll be the thickest of our lot that lap this up.

Which rough area you from?  You a nice boy...

If Nile Ranger or Titus Bramble had the slightest hint of intelligence they would have been far better players but that interview is exactly why I normally avoid reading the shite that comes out of his mouth.

Lallana, Walcott etc.. may be smart as fuck but there have been plenty of 'thick' players who have been exceptional footballers. I doubt Pardew understands the difference between intelligence and football intelligence. Woodgate by all accounts was practically a man-child mentally but his footballing brain really was something else and he would see stuff long before the attacker even tried it.

Fear not, This Pochettino fella is so over-rated. No doubt the crafty Pards will make a couple of clever changes and we'll waltz a couple of quick goals past the lumbering Southampton defence with some well drilled passing moves.
