While Mata will improve them, their problems run far deeper.

Aye and it starts from the top.

Moyes and his backroom staff that replaced meuleensten etc etc are clearly not up to it.

People can talk about players all they like. But its not going to change much, when you have a manager who has never won a trophy and Phil f*cking Neville as part of the coaching staff.

Don't forget Steve Round, Allardyce's number one man when he was here.

He's been with McClaren, Allardyce and Moyes, can't understand why Man Utd play negative football now. :mystery:

I think the fans and the media will force him out - a clamour for Ferguson to return and save the day. Just watch.

Ferguson wouldn't be stupid enough to try and salvage this squad and tarnish his reputation after finishing with number 20.

I wouldn't blame Moyes. Looking at the players out there tonight, they didn't look up to it as a unit.

De Gea, Rafael, Smalling, Januzaj, Welbeck – Talented, but works in progress

Carrick, Evra – past their best

Valencia, Jones, Evans – decent enough, but nowt special

Kagawa – struggling to adapt to the Premiership.

Fletcher – still in recovery

Hernandez – not good enough.

Buttner – inexperienced

Awful that it was the Mackems but f***ing delighted to see see this lot struggling, complete rebuild required, Manager all over the place etc.

This is a spectacular turnaround, a real collapse.

My sympathies to anyone who lives next to or works with mackems, however.

Ferguson was a genius to leave when he did. Look at the badge on their sleeves - these lot are the reigning Premier League champions. The fall has been dramatic and, until tonight, hilarious.

He did absolutely nothing to help the bloke who was in charge next, surely last January or even in August 2012 he knew that would be his last season. He left his successor with nothing but Rooney and RVP.

Moyes really needs questioning why he basically came in and sacked the whole of Fergies back room staff etc.  They could had helped in the transition from fergies coaching / training to his style.
