Ashley was splashing out £60m on transfers even when you were in the Championship. Zero thanks for it.

It's indeed pretty funny in the context of all the Ratcliffe crying about having to cut down on everything as there were no money left, and justified it all with saying that they were in danger of going bust by christmas. Yeah, we certainly see that now..

Yeah, we certainly see that now.. The entire business model is based around the football. The team will always need investment. Doesn't mean you can't streamline the rest of the business, especially when had double the staff of teams of a similar stature. You don't fall further behind by having less dinner ladies. Anyways, what I think is funny is the crying about running out of money and going bust. Obviously a club in that situation would not be spending like this after finishing 15th. Moral of the story, none of his crying can ever be taken seriously. Edited August 6, 2025 by Erikse

To see Man Utd fans defending the spending is very poor, and unsurprisingly it's often internet fans that lack a substantial connection to the area. Football clubs love crying poor when it suits. Decent sources suggest you've offered more money both for fees and wages for the ones we're both in for as well. You'd have spent more than us if the players wanted to go to you. Just the Manchester United pull. Dread it, run from it, it arrives all the same.

Mattoon
It's the total hypocrisy of it all for me, all those "normal" people losing their livlihood and for what? A weeks worth of Bruno Fernández wages? Faux poverty equating to extra dividends.
TaylorJ_01
Now seems AC Milan are interested in Hojlund. Sources suggest the Serie A side are willing to pay an initial 4m euros (£3.47m) loan fee, with an additional option to buy next summer for 40m (£34.7m).
