Love the thought of him suddenly looking like a real player with Tesco struggling hopefully. Even if only for that There’s a player in Hojlund. alexf
I wouldn't be gloating too much. We are still on for a difficult season too if we don't resolve our striker problem. Also I fear they would definitely come for Eddie this time if they sack Amorim. I like to think Eddie would say no but after the way our owners have left him short for a few seasons now, he may see the money and the investment and atleast 3 players he wanted to sign for us all there and be tempted to jump. Btw, do they still have Antony, Sancho and Garnacho sat in the bomb squad? That's a hell of a lot of wages I imagine sat doing nothing. Regardless of our own situation, if we can’t gloat when the cunts are getting beat (deservedly) off fucking Grimsby, having yet again spent fortunes in a transfer window, we’re not doing it right. Lush Vlad
2 hours ago, Froggy said: Find a lot of this baffling to be honest but it gives you an insight into how other fans are thinking. Our starting back three is concrete in Yoro, De Ligt and Shaw, and Yoro and De Ligt are top class. Zero complaints from any of our fans about either of them. Shaw has played well too but not to the level of the other two. None of them have really put a foot wrong in the league. I've seen criticism for Dorgu on here as well and don't really understand it to be honest. He's been very good this season and is actually performing as a wing back should. He was awful last season though and maybe people are just continuing on from that, unfairly. Arsenal never had a sniff. Our keeper threw the ball into the net for them. Fulham's goal was from Bruno not tracking the man in midfield. Bruno as a #8 beside Casemiro is going to be a big problem. Nobody wants to talk about it but it was Bruno who gave away the corner against Arsenal as well. Dalot is a fucking donkey though. That's the only thing I agree with. A pure and utter donkey. Like I said in my first post. Obviously I don't watch you every week or pay loads of attention to each one of your players. I forget how young Yoro is and obviously he has loads of potential and is already playing at the top level in this country. I can honestly say I've never once watched him and thought he had a great game or that he stood out. Looks a bit last gasp, to me. But that's possibly just the way you set up. De Ligt the same, looks incredibly average, especially considering the money you spent. I like Shaw, shame he has had so many injuries. Ah yes, Arsenal. The world's most boring team when they get a lead. I remember them beating Spurs 1-0 away under Arteta and then didn't have a shot on or off target for over a half. So they got a lead due to yet another keeper error and then you had 2-3 good chances, probably should have scored. But you managed.... zero. Brilliant. As for Fulham, your goal was a foul and a massive fluke considering Yoro's header was going wide. See, easy to just point to individual moments in isolation like that, isn't it? You were quality early on, then reverted to type from what I saw. What about all the shite served up last season? What about last night? Do these games not count or something?! On Bruno, do you think something has changed? I might be remembering it wrong, but I'm sure not long ago you were saying he was fine in a 2, made loads of tackles, interceptions, covered a lot of ground etc. But even by his miserable and angry standards. Something seems amiss with him this season? You could get a competent keeper and I think it would sort out a lot of your troubles. Just because you would stop playing games -1 or -2 due to keeper errors I see you keep getting linked with the Belgian lad. But no idea what he is like or if he is any good or not. Personally I don't understand why you would bring a new manager in midway through a season, back him in the summer and then sack him after three games? We've conceded 4 goals, and 3 of them have been goalkeeping errors. We were by far the better side against Arsenal, and we should have had Fulham blown away in the opening 30 minutes. Denied a clear pen against Arsenal, and missed a pen against Fulham. We just need a bloody goal to settle things down. There was a huge overreaction to the Fulham game, as if they're not a decent side. You'd also think we lost 3-0 instead of getting a decent draw. They took 6 points off Newcastle last season and 4 off Spurs. They're no mugs. All that being said, results do have to come. If we don't win convincingly against Burnley, the pressure will be enormous on him I think. Say it's a draw on Saturday then we come back after the international break and lose to Chelsea and City, then I think it'll turn sour again. I’d have agreed with you, but that post-match interview was really something. Did not expect that at all. He seemed defeated in the bigger sense. STM
The issue isnt sacking Ruben Interim, its finding a suitable replacement. At least with Ashrat gone you wont have to have Southgate.

He has to get top 8 though this season. City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, Villa and then us. The squad is too good to finish below any of the others. Doctor Zaius
Can't carry on sacking managers, club is rotten to its core blah blah blah All true, but what are you going to do? Keep him despite showing absolutely no signs of turning it around? He looks completely out of his depth and bereft of any ideas aside from playing one particular way which hasn't worked from the start. He's the worst they've ever had so far

Top 8 is the minimum though. There's a ton of dead money sitting there at the minute but there will be movement. Garnacho and Hojlund look certain to leave for around £70m combined and £7m a year in wages. Wages for Sancho, Antony and Malacia is reported to be around £23m a year. Antony will definitely go, but probably a loan with obligation. Malacia will probably just get released. I can see Sancho digging in and getting to the end of his contract, as he doesn't give a shit about playing. He's already rejected moves to Roma and Juve, and he's not getting bigger clubs than that. Because it's Manchester United. Worst season in our modern history last season, and we were still competing in a European final. Poor season the year before that, and we won the FA Cup. These players will believe they can be the ones who turn it around in the league as well, and the ones who eventually do will be treated like Gods.
