I tend to watch Madrid games at strange stages but it looks to me like they sometimes play Isco as a CM which is wild and won't work in the CL. Khedira is leaving on a free at the end of the season, so he's pretty much ostracized from the team. They are playing Isco as CM - which I think won't work against stronger teams. Modric is expected back on February, right in time for the business end of the season anyway. But after getting rid of Alonso and shutting down Khedira, they need strength there. Reus in general terms is a much better footballer and capable of the goals part if he could actually stay fit. That maybe a Dortmund thing though as none seem to be able to stay fit. Unless he can properly attack he just doesn't seem bothered. He does possess great stamina but I reckon his work-rate is lower because he thinks it contributes to injury problems.
