At least they've organised something this pre-season. Can only be a positive.

We've added:

15/7 - Oldham (a)

30/7 - Sheff Wed (a)

5/8 - Huddersfield (a)

9/8 - European team (h)

I can feasibly make all those games fine. Pissups galore.

Oldham - rumoured naming rights / sponsorship agreement with Sports Direct.

Sheff Wed - look to be wearing Sondico shirts next year.

Huddersfield - ???

No doubt the 'European Team' will be Rangers.

One of the main things attributed against the club on here is the lack of preparation and last minute pre-season plans. At least that can't be an excuse for Pardew this season.

Too much planned for pre season has worn the players out.

NZ tour games both on UK TV

BT Sport's pre-season TV schedule now includes live transmission of Newcastle's two games in New Zealand.

Coverage of United's opening fixture against Sydney in Dunedin is advertised from 8.30am on Tuesday July 22nd, while the meeting with Phoenix in Wellington commences at 4.30am on Saturday July 26th.

PS: Neither BT Sport or any UK/overseas providers have any listed coverage of the Schalke 04 Tournament that the Magpies will participate in during August as yet.

Getting up for them :yao:

seems like the Aarons/armstrong/Satka class of youngsters are starting to overtake the group ahead of them.. Hope it's because they are actually decent. I hope we handle them the right way and not let them stagnate like we have with a lot of the others.
