FIFA is funny man, this guy could be fast as hell but they still lower his speed so that his overall rating is low. Essentially he's probably the same speed as Cabaye or Tiote based on those ratings.

feel like we're struggling to get this one over the line

Its a very big line though, signing a player for 1.8M on £120 a week from Spain. FFS give the club a chance man.

It's only about 1.6 million at the current exchange rate - extra value to be had in Europe this summer with the pound getting stronger!

That will be another excuse, good work.  We waiting until the last week of the window to gain on the FX rates but unfortunately the selling club upped the price!

Perez's team-mate Ayoze Diaz confirms he's joining #nufc . (via @juanjo_ramos). "The first two months will be difficult but he'll succeed"

Diaz: "He has the personality to succeed. This week has not concerned him. We've been talking to him in English!"

Team mate with the same name, who plays at left back...we've obviously brought in the wrong Ayoze.

Another tricky foreigner totally unsuited to front foot football. Pardew's been Carr-dewed again.

Yup, one might say he's been Carr-strated.

:dog:

I never realised how many pad puns went on before that dog showed up

Can't say I'd ever heard the name Ayoze before and then two pop up at once

I have a friend with that name - it's not too uncommon in the Canary Islands.

Btw, press here says this is your first permanent signing in 18 months. That for real?

Only scored 6 more goals than Xisco this season...

Pardew will never play the youngsters. He never has the team doing well enough or playing well enough to have a few feature here and there.

We should have a settled first team, and then play the odd youngster in certain games where we are comfortable. Problem is we're never comfortable, even against the worst of oppositions. We don't even have a settled first 11 yet.

The whole thing is a joke really.

Paws for thought is this "one for the future" or first team starter ? :kinnear:
