Aston Villa 0 - 0 Newcastle United - 23/08/14 - Post-match reaction from page 36

We really wont score goals this season will we. Some nice possession at times but fucking woeful yet again in final 3rd of the pitch. No idea how to open up a team and finish chances. Villa look there for the taking most of that half.

The deadline day desperate bid for Remy is going to be some shit.

It's amazing that we can change the line-up so many times over the past year or two, still produce performances going forward that seem creatively null yet Pardew still survives any kind of criticism from the media. We are a truly awful team to watch as a Newcastle fan and any neutral watching this must be bored out of their mind. Villa are the pits as well mind... and they look better than us.

Nee fret at all. Hope de Jong is a scorer although if not we are in trouble.

Oh and Colback actually looks good at times, doesn't seem to lose the ball much. Him and Anita seem suited so far.

Villa don't know how to handle Sissoko, just a pity he is fucking garbage with the ball. Janmaat playing very well and Riviere trying his best.

Cabelle looks like a total pussy

This is what he said last week in the programme notes.

“It is always my intention to set teams up to play attacking football on the front foot, but it is not always possible against teams with greater resources than our own.
