The London press probably had a hand in it. They must be desperate for Fat Sam not to get it as that will mean another 2 months at least of him staying in the job. He's in a similar position to Pardew in that he's a clueless cunt who's taken advantage of some good signings done over his head.

The difference is that Fat Sam is still playing aids hoofball but he's signed players who fit it (Cresswell and Jenkinson excellent crossers, Song to provide enough quality and control from the holding role, the criminally underrated Amalfitano and a couple of pacey, athletic strikers who love to run, chase, jump and shoot).

He's also stumbled upon Stewart Downing's golden summer as a CAM and a formation that binds it together. Sooner or later he will try and change it to bring Carroll and Nolan back in and they will finish bottom half again.

What the hell is this?! Manager of which month? To blazes with anyone involved in this!

No chance he'll get it!

We scraped a point at Swansea, scraped a win vs Leicester and put a decent 2nd half in at Spurs after a shambolic 1st half to win.

West Ham won all their games including a win against the champions and a London derby!

“There are two types of coaches. There’s coaches like me who weigh up the opposition and ask the team to adjust. Fergie was similar. Jose [Mourinho] is similar. Then there’s Arsène, who won’t adjust. There’s Brendan [Rodgers], who looks like he won’t adjust. There’s Manuel Pellegrini, who looks like he won’t adjust, even in the Champions League. He seems to favour what he’s got. City are quite open.

“Their [Wenger/Rodgers/Pellegrini’s] philosophy is different to ours. Ours is more about who are we playing against. Their philosophy is more, ‘We always play this way’, and they won’t change, they carry doing on the same thing. That’s why you can beat them.

- Fat Sam

Just talking about manager of the month and there's Fat Sam's philosophy laid out in a nutshell, not dissimilar to our own dear leader. He's letting his mouth go after winning a few games. Again the similarity is uncanny.

He had one decent finish woth Bolton on a tight budget and now after a cheeky home win over City is proclaiming he is the king again.  If you can win beat these guys , how come you never really get in the top 10 of the league?

"Philosophy

Chippy. Seems, out of nowhere, to have fostered a team spirit up in Newcastle, drawing on the tired-and-tested "Us Against the World" technique. In Pardew's case, the paranoia might be justified: people genuinely seem not to like him. Almost impossible to say what sort of football he likes his sides to play because he rarely seems to get into that side of things. What is the Pardew way? He doesn't tell us. Oozes an odd mixture of self-regard and persecution complex and appears to be permanently, if understandably, on the defensive."

Might have to go home early, pissing myself.

This guy compared himself to Alex Ferguson, while slagging off Wenger, Rodgers and Pellegrini.

Ferguson was actually the exact opposite of Fat Sam, he had a very fast paced attacking philosophy with loads of players getting in the box when they got into the final third of the pitch. He's thrown that one in there just to add some extra legitimacy to his outrageous claims.
