A classic truism (is that a word?):

You can't always get what you want, but you often get what you deserve.

Pretty much sums up the apologists who bottled the demo today.

Fuck them, fuck Pardue & fuck the club.

I'm finished till he's gone.

They have done a great job, but my what utter fucking wankers we have in our support, tens of thousands of the cunts. They deserver Ashley and Pardew they really do. 2-0 down to Hull and nowt, not a fucking thing. People being told to go and support the mackems for holding up sack pardew banners.

This.  If people are really that fucking stupid as to show unconditional support and then proudly wear their loyalty badge, then they have found their soulmate in this soulless club.

Stewards can f*** off with 'the 'the order came from above, nowt we can do'' line anarl. Jobsworth c***s were in their element today.

Exactly - even if they had been told 'from above' to stop/search/check and they disagreed with it, all they had to do was ignore and say they never found any on the searches they were allowed to do.

I can't believe the support in the ground didn't get behind this. The club is diseased at the moment and when you have a disease you do everything you have to get rid of it. The support in the ground today for the most part seem to be the sort that would wait till body parts were falling off before calling the doctor. It's that dense to support Pardew now, it really is.

It was a failed protest, not just the lack of support, but also people holding up creased up wrinkly A4 pieces of paper they'd pulled out of their underwear.

It was a major misjudgement of our support and ideas are needed for things that will get people on side on a larger scale.

The stewards should be fucking ashamed of themselves, unless they're all mackems.

A steward let Taylor in with his banner from our little group that went together off here like. Some of them seemed to fucking hate taking stuff off people apparently. Just normals blokes/women at the end of the day.

Also saw some getting very out of hand at the end too, totally uncalled for.

Many of the supporters would likely be drawn to bright shiny objects.  This is a good place to start.

It failed at the ground a little, but before the game it had a massive impact on the media. Even during the game there was plenty of cameras singling fans out with the banners. It's not a total failure, it's keeping people talking about it and a debate for the sports media and that keeps pressure on. I do wonder how many fans had their banner confiscated and how it would of looked if they all were allowed in the ground. It can't stop though, it has to carry on. Even for away games if possible, where it maybe easier to get more banners in.

There were black bags full of them at most turnstiles.
