wormy
I don't think I'm ever going to understand the Nations League. Granted, I haven't even tried to.

Ghandis Flip-Flop
And if Dan Burn is out on the basis of age, what the hell has Fikayo Tomori gotta do to get a call up?
St1pe
Maguire has been genuinely awful as well. Mings has been up and down.
Yorkie
Maguire has been consistently excellent for England. Burn will get his chance if he keeps this up.

Out on basis of age? What- where’s this from? Maguire, Coady, Mings are all 29, currently the same as Burn.
Smal
Think Targett's more unlucky to miss out than Burn. At least a centre back there are actually options, but we've only got a bang out of form Luke Shaw in there for left back
McCormick
Guehi Is a great call up. Connor Coady over Tomori Is criminal tbh.

Ben
I don't think I've ever been as disinterested in international football as I am just now, I'm a two faced bastard though cos I'll be all in come the world Cup, I've even got a special glass for it. PeepShow4life
We will never win anything with Southgate in charge. We might have had a chance had they employed Howe instead.

International football, especially England, has been my god send the last few years having switched off from NUFC due to Ashley and Bruce, and under Southgate and with these players, I’m loving England again, even friendlies. McCormick
Love the talent in this England squad now; we’ve been crying out for technically gifted players for a while and I feel like we have that now. In saying that, I believe our recent success may (in some ways) be in spite of Southgate. Seemingly a very good man-manager, but I really don’t see him having the tactical nous to outfox the truly elite managers in world football. For that reason, despite the cornucopia of talented youngsters at our disposal, I don’t think we’ll ever truly achieve greatness with Gareth at the helm. jackyboy
Southgate has never been a success at anything. He got the job because he doesn't rock the boat and comes over as squeaky clean. He is more concerned about and puts more effort into other issues like LGBT, racism, equality, free school dinners etc. They are issues not to be ignored by any means but he is a football manager and not a politician. We have the best selection of players that we have ever had but with him in charge we will win nothing

We have the best selection of players that we have ever had but with him in charge we will win nothing Despite all that, while in the role of football manager, two semi-finals at tournaments and a final which we were a spot kick or two away from winning. I agree tactically he isn’t on a par with say Mancini, but on form, stats wise etc. this is the best we’ve ever performed. He’s done a great job, is a great man and I think what he’s achieved can’t be measured by trophies, international football is more of a lottery than domestic football, it’s knock out football in the end and often spot kicks.
