Unbelievable
Amazed at how good he has been. Just goes to show you can't really predict how well a player will adjust to new surroundings, as I would have said based on their Eredivisie record/reputation/performances there wasn't much between De Jong and him. Pace, power and athleticism make such a big difference in this league.
Hanshithispantz
The Eredivisie is mental like, you either get a world beater or a total carthorse.

Honestly love the player to bits.
wyn davies
poss on his way this transfer session, we know how mercenary mr ashley is.
toontownman
Getting better and better. Some hatem esque dribbling today. Having shelvey is going to make him even more dangerous.
madras
Who'd have thought he wasn't a central midfielder ?
Guest firetotheworks
He's smooth as fuck as a footballer like, I like his style.
Eddy Chibas
A poll needs to be inserted into this thread, concerning the transfer fee received in the Summer. Shaddapayaface. You forgot to include the '#' Ian. World class No.10's are tough to unearth, so I'll vote for the option which covers £36m.
buzza
He was too much of a passenger in earlier games, suppose it could be adjustment to pace of the games here. He is much more active now and doesn't have so many of those dissapering acts, he seems to be involved a lot more both defensively and obviously offensively. I think Ayoze is doing well out on the wing, he covers a hell of a lot of ground but seems to fade badly in second half (nearly always...)
nortoon
Been MOTM for the last 3 games. Took us half a season to get him into a proper system where he plays his favorite position. Getting used to the league was important but I think that's the main he's not going missing now, he's not a winger in a million years. Clever positioning and team-play is his game, not running up and down on the wing.
ExiledGeordie
He's clearly a nightmare for defenders to pick up playing where he is now in the middle. He's got bags of pace, great movement and is a qualify finisher. Very hard to pick up for defenders.
sh74
Makes a hell of a difference when a foreign player comes in and is given plenty of game time and patience to adjust to english football.
Tiresias
He's started to pull out his tricks and beat players a lot, I think he was scared of being cleaned out earlier and was a bit more conservative
Pilko
He's like all the best bits of Cabaye, Ben Arfa and Rob Lee molded into a player, with the Nolan/Speed knack of knowing when to arrive in the box. He's fucking sublime.
Ally
Aye that's it Pilko, his timing of runs is outstanding

He's fucking sublime. I would say a cross between Dyer and Nolan personally.
Deckard 13
Like nothing I've seen at Newcastle so I don't see the sense in comparing him personally. A wonderful footballer. Should be scoring more goals mind.

Should be scoring more goals mind. He's got 9 league goals like. Could easily end up on 15 This, he's a midfielder and has 9 league goals at just over the half way stage. There are strikers in this league who won't get that this season, disappointingly a few of them play for us.
Altamullan
When we signed him, & I first saw him play, I've never been as optimistic and excited about a player since seeing Solano, play for the reserves prior to his first start for us. Gini is absolute top drawer. Delighted they've given him the position he wanted, really hope he can stay fit, and really really hope he is happy here and beilieves in what the club are doing--not that either are certain to make a difference--because I suspect he is going to be a wanted man come the end of the season. U2
I can't see him going for less than £40m to a huge Champions League team. If I were to guess, I'd say Man Red will be his destination as an upgrade to Mata.
Mole_Toonfan
A lot of big transfers are mainly due to hype, don't really see him being hyped a lot yet and probably because we are not winning games. So i doubt anyone will offer anywhere near the amounts being talked about yet, not that i want them to anyway they can all fuck off tbh.

Aye he's got 9 But you can't tell me he's not missed a hat full of really good chances in the last 6 or 7 games. I'm not saying he's doing poorly, I think he's brilliant, just commenting on what I've seen. It's a bit like Hatem, I could never truly criticise him because he was comfortably the best player out there but at the same time that raises the expectations and I've seen enough for Gini to think that he could be in double figures already. I imagine he's the sort of player who probably would agree with that himself. I don't think it's a negative to say someone is playing we'll but I think they can be even better.
