Guest neesy111
Lascelles is a very good defender, our best IMO, but he’s having a poor season and as long as his limitations on the ball are continually going to be a negative aspect, he will struggle to develop much further. A development that owes a lot to Rafa’s coaching. He will never be a top-class CB. If someone offered us 20-25m in January I’d take it. As sad as I found his statements regarding the owner and protests, however, let’s not use that as a stick to beat him with regarding his performances and how important he has been for us over the past few seasons, last season he was immense given the circumstances and has been our best player in general under Rafa. Disagree there, i think Lejeune is our best defender - a better leader in the back from organization standpoint, reading of game and of course on the ball. This. Lascelles biggest strength is his arial ability, but he's a weakness in the team with the ball at his feet. Nah disagree massively, Lejeune was horrific alongside Clark last season while Lascelles made Clark look ok when he played beside him. Think Fernandez is our best dedender anyway He was bad but there were some circumstances against lejeune. He had just came back from that injury by Kane and he was adjusting to the league. Also it's all about partnerships with CB's, some work and some don't etc. Last season we started winning games after lascelles came back into the team, this season we can't buy a win when he's finished a game. It's good we have competition at the back and can take out players if they are not in form etc.
Greg
He was also forced to play out of position on the right to accommodate Clark.
David Edgar
Proper shaky moments in the first half, but solid in the second. Could have easily seen red.
Heron
Been shakey and out of form but just needs some support.
relámpago blanco
I have a great fondness for him but he is probably 4th choice for me when all are fit but then again sometimes he is amazing.
Zero
A lot of his judgement were wrong recently. I don’t know it’s a matter of form or concentration but right now he is our worst CB. We still need him though when we come up against striker with great aerial threat.
ToonArmy1892
When all fit, i think Fernandez and Lejeune has to be the best pairing, Schar is the best passer out of the CB's like.

Foluwashola
Was expecting a horror tackle having seen some comments. Absolutely nowt in it, bog standard yellow card. Carry on.
Guest
Wasn’t too dissimilar to Williamson’s at Leicester. Was fucking stupidity. Not a red like.

Carry on. it wasnt a red but it was stupid, reckless and unneccessary. seen reds given for it, especially the way we have been on the end of decisions recently. triggs
We’d definitely be looking for a red if it was the other way around

Yorkie
I don't think it was worthy of a red, was just a fucking miserable attempt at making a tackle. Not a clue what he was trying, was the sort of desperate clumsy attempt you'd expect from an academy player. Fortunately he had a very comfortable game other than that, he's very important when teams are just swinging cross after cross.

Aye, think a red would have been harsh, nowhere near as bad as I was expecting after hearing what the pundits on SSN were talking about it.
loki679
It was pretty bad, like. High, late, reckless and he scissored is legs around him. Could easily have been a red. He needs to sort his head out, something seems a bit off with him at the moment, maybe he's not keen on having so much competition for his position..... Was fuckin stupid and I'd expect an opposition player to be sent off if it was on one of our players. He needs to get a grip.
Away Day Gadgie
Definite red for me. Absolutely brainless thing to do. Most of us were furious when Harry Kane scissored Lejeune and injured him. Lascelles’ challenge was worse - waist height and needless due to the fact the ball was going out. He was very luck IMO. Andy
Not quite a red for me, but it's one of those clichéd "orange" cards tbh. Most refs would show yellow, the odd spanner would show red due to the aggression.

STM
I wish I could find a still of Lascelles going in at waist height.
Paully
We’d definitely be looking for a red if it was the other way around This for me too! It looked like it was his ball all day at first but he held back to win the ball and let him know that he was there! Worse than Kane’s on Lejeune for me!
