Thought, like many others on the pitch for us, he had a great game today. Very important we find a way to keep him if we can. Building a defence around him and Lascelles is pivitol. Can see one of Saylor or Colo being retained to keep as experience but hopefully we bin them both and just bring someone new in.

If Brighton fuck it at home to Sheffield Weds, which the basically already have Dunk will be off and be a good option to compliment Lascelles and Mbemba.

Hopefully our crapness most of the season, especially at the back, have helped masked this guy's ability, if PL teams did their research he should be one of the first poached, when you consider his supposed age he can only get better.

He's been pap. But aye, reckon there's a good chance he stays and he would do well at that level imo

He's been almost flawless since Benitez got the back four organised. Looks a million dollars right now.

Like the silly back header against Sunderland? Or that brilliant performance against Norwich?

He's looked good recently aye.

That's why I specifically said since Benitez got the back four organised. It does sometimes take a few games for a coach to get a team used to working how he wants. Putting Lascelles in there alongside him instead of Taylor definitely helped.

Okay and I agree.  But over the course of the season he's generally been pap.  This is true for pretty much everyone except Dummett, Townsend, Elliot.  Who all missed legs parts of it anyway.

Amazing what a bit of proper coaching & finally getting to grips with the league and it's demands can do for a player, particularly a young centre half. Starting to look like the player he should've been from the start.

They way we snuffed out Spurs yesterday and hit them on the counter was almost Leicester-like in how we were so well organised. Coaching really does make a massive difference.

I thought he started the season OK, was reasonable in that period when we actually won some games but then he went downhill. Been generally good for the final stretch, especially when paired with someone that complements him.

Was pap against West Ham & Watford early doors. We aren't going to sell him because he's been pap.

He had some good performances and poorer performances in the season openers, he was OK. Like most defenders of his type, the partner is very important.
